    I just heard this news. I went to the web site and this is what is posted.

    Victory for parents of autistic children
    VICTORIA (CKNW/AM980) — The BC Court of Appeal has upheld a lower court ruling that the province must pay for the only effective therapy of treating children with autism.
    The intensive early behavioural therapy involves up to 40-hours of one-on-one therapy for young children each week, at a cost of up to $60,000 per year.
    Parents wanted the treatment covered, but the province had refused.

    What does this mean for all of us?

    Scholar's Choice has picture cards. Picture Words and More Picture Words by TREND. Each box has 96 cards and they cost around $10.00. They do have the words which you can cover, cut off or use them with the words showing as we did. There are 2 locations I know of. One in Langley and one in PoCo.

    I have seen some resent posts (classifieds) advertising for therapists to work in school as a childs S.E.A.

    Our child will be starting kindergarten in Sept 2002 and we would love to send one of our trained therapists to be his S.E.A. Is this possible?

    I'm not sure if it makes a difference but we live in Surrey (School Dist #36).

    I would like information from parents that have tried B6 and Magnesium treatment with their autistic child. I am especially interested in this treatment using Super Nu-Thera.

    I'm looking for information on Melatonin. My 4 year old son is autistic and has a lot of trouble sleeping at times. Where do you get it? Are there side effects? Etc. gary.robins@3web.net

    We are just setting up a program through WEAP and would appreciate any input parents familar with them might have. Also, does anyone have a sample contract for line therapists as I am told we should have therapists sign an agreement? gary.robins@3web.net
