Peter WongMemberDear parents:
I registered my son for his Kindergarten in an independent/private school. Today the school told me that the autism funding for school is denied by the government. My boy was diagnosed by Sunny Hill with ASD. It is impossible to believe it. One possibility is that our formal assessment was kind of old. We are going to get an updated speech assessment for my boy. What else should we prepare for the appeal process?
We will love any sharing and experience.
You can share to the group or email me privately to vancouverpeter AT gmail.com.
Thanks a lot.

Peter WongMemberDear parents:
I am planning to take my boy to do an Asia trip at the end of the year or beginning of next year. It will be his first time on the airplane. I am considering that we need to do a short trip first. If you have any experiences/suggestions regarding to trip plan or which airline, please share with me.
I assume that I need to let the Airline know about my boyâs condition when I book the ticket.
Thanks a lot for your help.

We are thinking to take the boy to try Toboggan this year. He is not ready for the real one, yet. We only need a slope or hill to do so.
Which place you will recommend?
Cypress Mountain
Mount Seymour
Grouse Mountain
Or some place else. Thanks a lot.

Peter WongMemberAnyone knows where I can get a copy of ABLLS locally?
Is there anyone selling their copy? Please email vancouverpeter@gmail.com
Thanks a lot for your help.
Peter WongMemberJust learned that there is a new day-care (was pre-school for many years) which accepts special needs kids. The staffs have many years of experience with special need kids. However, in order to get in, the kid needs to be referred by Richmond Supported Child Program. They have limited spaces left.
The day-care is in Richmond.
If you need more info, you can email vancouverpeter@gmail.com
Have a good one.
