    Posting on behalf of a family:

    Full time ABA SW required by South Surrey family starting in Sept 2016 for a Grade 3 boy.
    Some familiarization sessions with the student will be required this summer to learn our Behaviour Plan and work on building a relationship with our son. Home sessions are based on when student support is needed, as this is a very advanced student.
    Our home team is under the direction of Theresa Jouan, Behavior Consultant

    We are looking for someone to facilitate play dates and work on some academics, anxiety management as well as community support with our daughter.

    Sessions will run after school several times a week.

    All training on program, behavior plan implementation as well as reinforcement procedures will be provided by our BCBA consultant, Theresa Jouan.

    Good morning Part 2! Just an update here as we had the wrong email included in the last post.

    Posting on behalf of a family:

    We are looking for a behavior interventionist with great play skills, high energy, ability to balance being very fun and firm to join a New Westminster team, implementing an ABA home-based program for an advanced learner.

    Our son is very funny, energetic, enjoys lots of physical activity, pretend play and is 4 years old.
    Program is supervised and monitored by Theresa Jouan and Andy Harrison and full training will be provided. Program goals focus on pre-academic, emotion regulation, language, kindergarten-readiness and exercise goals.
    The position is available for evenings after 5 PM to 8/9 PM from Monday to Friday, potentially on weekends with some flexibility until the end of June, with the possibility of more session times in the summer. Shifts are minimum 1.5 -2 hours, with the possibility of increasing length in the future.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    > Experience working with children, the ability to be dynamic and engaging in different scenarios and to have great creative play skills. You need to be able to match the physical and creative level of the child's play.
    > Experience working in ABA programs is an asset
    > Experience with challenging behaviours is an asset
    > Post Secondary education in a related field is an asset (psychology, education, speech and language pathology, etc.)
    > Strong desire and aptitude for working with young children
    > Highly committed and reliable (a min 6-month commitment)
    > Clear criminal record check

    We are looking for 3-5 energetic, reliable people to work one-on-one as a behavior intervention therapist (BI) doing ABA therapy with a 3-year-old boy. He is a loving, delightful boy who is working on communication / conversation, social interaction, and academic skills (programs change over time).

    As a successful candidate you should have lots of energy, patience, strong play skills, a positive attitude, be a good multi-tasker and be able to take and implement constructive feedback. We also encourage questions! Enthusiasm, dedication, reliability and a willingness to learn are required.

    Individuals interested in early childhood education, ABA therapy, psychology, education, special education, nursing, speech pathology or any other career involving children and clinical therapy are welcome.

    Some previous experience strongly preferred, but not necessary. Applicants should be at least 19 years of age and be willing to complete or have a current criminal record check.

    Sessions will be held Monday to Friday mornings 10-12 and afternoons 3:30 – 5:30 and mandatory team meetings will be held every 4 weeks (date to be decided based on team availability).
