Good-evening,
I was on my way to work one morning when I heard Jean Lewis on a radio talk show,CBC Daybreak. She was absolutely wonderful as she spoke on behalf of the children diagnosed with autism in this province. Thank goodness for strong, courageous people like Jean. I had the opportunity to have a phone discussion with her, and she suggested we contact WEAP to discuss our 5 year old daughter's current program. She is high-functioning and is progressing quite rapidly. Due to the lack of resources in our community, we basically self-taught ourselves the ABA program and started to work with our little girl since she was 2 years old. She is such a beautiful, gentle child, and my husband and I will not give up as we look for every opportunity available to help her. We have contacted WEAP to look into having a consultant assess our little girl's current program. Is there some success stories out there with using consultants from WEAP? I have heard many positive comments on their program and would greatly appreciate some feedback. Also, we just started our little one on vitamin therapy, Vit B6/Mangnesium, and DMG. We ordered the vitamins through Kirkman Laboratories, USA. They are so helpful and knowledgeable. Has any other family had any positive results from vitamin therapy they would like to share with us.Thank-you so very much,
