    Happy holidays everyone!

I was at Collins Educational (by Superstore on Maine and Marine) and they have stocked up on wonderful toys and games and stimuli!

I saw many Listening Lotto packs as well as other listening games (objects, actions etc…) by LDA.

Many many Judy Instructo puzzles! They have giant floor puzzles that are on sale (1/2 off!)

LDA and High Five Learning stimuli (objects, emotions, sequecning) are all stocked up!

They have some great imaginary toys– castles, airport, doctors kit, tool kit etc…

If you get a chance, stop by Collins to stock up on all the useful resources!

    HI all
Thanks for the speedy replies. I had an inkling that they weren't pro ABA since their web address says Naturally Autistic.
I love working with children with autism and love implementing ABA! It's wonderful when I see these children learn to talk and converse and play and behave appropriately at school and at the park and in their community!
I have worked with several respected and wonderful consultants here in Vancouver and thank them tremendously on all their wisdom and dedication to helping all children with autism!!!

    Hi everyone!
I have a quick question regarding some organization i came across. I'm a bit hesitant to "associate" with them as their web address is "naturallyautistic.com"
Someone emailed me a link to a presentation this month. Temple Grandin will do some video presentation on autism. I am interested (since Temple was on the David Suzuki video promoting early intervention)but am not sure if they are "pro ABA" or not.
The organization is ANCA and apparently made up of "autistics" as they refer to themselves.
Just a side note on myself: My name is Elna and have been doing ABA for over 6 years so I'm new to this board :-)
Any feedback on this organization would be great. You can email me privately: elna4@yahoo.com
    Thanks

    Hi
My name is Elna and I have been an ABA lead/therapist for almost 5 years now. I am interested in becoming an educational assistant. I am interested in rate of pay and level of education/experience needed to be hired as an educational assistant. I am currently attending UBC and will graduate with a BA in psych this year. If there are some EA's please feel free to email me:

    Hi everyone
I was wondering if there are any therapists in the Vancouver/Richmond area who will be attending the March 12 workshop with Bobby Newman?
I am interested in attending but would very much like to car pool with a couple of therapists.
I live by the oak street bridge.
Please email me if anyone is interested in giving me a ride! Thanks in advance

    Hi

I am an ABA therapist and I am doing some research on ABA funding in BC.

I have downloaded a list of "qualified service providers" from autismbc.ca. I am slightly confused because I thought that the ABLE clinic and EAP were the only two clinics that provide qualified lovaas ABA therapy. The list has numerous agencies in BC–what do these agencies provide and how do parents of newly diagnosed children decipher between agencies that are implementing ABA services and those that aren't??
    Thanks
    Elna
