    Experienced BI needed:

    • Looking for experienced BI to work with a 15 years old high school boy in Vancouver Fraserview area.
    • Candidate must be responsible, reliable, and strong in social and communication skills.
    • Two 2 hours sessions per week after school (anytime between 4-9pm) on weeknight.
    • Must be available for the monthly team meeting (team meeting usually between 4-6:30 on week night).
    • Knowledge in French is definitely an asset.
    • Must have valid drivers license and have reliable transportation year round.
    • Must be at least 19 years of age.
    • Must have a clear criminal record check.
    • Be able to make a minimum of 1 year commitment.

    Looking for an experienced BI to work with a 12 years old child in a lead position. Appliciant must be a quick learner and be able to pick up programs set up by his Behaviour Consultants Thea Brain and Kim Kirsch.
    Candidate must:
    – be able to make 2 two to two and a half hours sessions a week, plus a monthly team meeting,
    – have a clear criminal record check,
    – have reliable transportation & be on time.

    Looking for ABA therapist

    Family in Vancouver is looking for a dedicated ABA therapist to join his team to work with a fun-loving 9 years old boy. In additional to working with the child after school (2 times a week), selected candidate might also have an opportunity to work with the child at school as a teacher assistant. Candidate must be a fast learner, possess a great sense of humor and have strong play skills & creativity. You must be self-motivated, reliable, organized and able to multi-task. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are passionate about helping and making a different in a child’s life.

    Candidate must be:
    Minimum of 20 years of age or older
    Must love working with children
    (Experience with ABA is definitely an asset, but not require)
    Must have a valid BC driver’s license & reliable transportation
    Must have a current criminal record check
    Must work well independently and in group setting
    Minimum of 1 year commitment is required

    Hi Monika,
    Just wonder if you can give us a bit more info on the Home Owner Grant, and how to applied for it. Some one told me if the OWNER of the property has some kind of disability, then the discount can be applied. But in our case, can we applied for the grant since technically, we (not our child) owns the property. Thanks in advance.

    About the disability tax credit, I just want to make sure everyone knows that if you qualify for the tax credit, you also are able to pay reduced municipal property tax. You would pay the Over 65 tax amount. You indicate you qualify for this credit on the back of your Home Owner Grant tax form.

    Family in Frasierview area is looking for one more person to work with our 5 years old boy who has be in ABA program for a year. Experience in ABA would be an asset, but not required as training will be provided. The person must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 year (2 shifts a week, approx. 3 hours per shift). Experience in ABA would be an asset but not required
    Candidates must be reliable, fun, creative, with a positive attitude to work with young children and willing to submit for a criminal record check.

    I don't know too much about RESP, but I heard that you can set up a family plan so you can use the money towards any of your child. Sorry won't be able to tell you more, but try to talk to your RESP provider to get more info on it. Good luck!!
