Hi All,
Are there any parents out there who have their children in Secondary school in Surrey school district? We are planning to move, and considering which catchment area would be the best for my son. As he is non-verbal and very much delayed, we are looking for a secondary school where there are more trained staffs. And are there parents who have any (positive/negative) experience with North Surrey Secondary Schoool in Fleetwood area or Any Secondary School in Fraser Hights area to share with me?
As you can see, we are definately staying in Surrey BUT have NO idea which area to move. Everything will depend on where the school is located. So any of your feedbacks would be appreciated.

Thank you ALL!
LuciaL SukParticipantI am still in shock and outraged as me and my son had to experience an acceptable treatment at the Surrey Guildford Mall this afternoon. I dont know who to contact to report this incident, but I am sure that this should not be dealt simply as "one of those days with an autistic child" thing.
I took my son to the mall today and stopped by the store called Produce Outlet to buy some fruits, which is located in the mall. We went in through the back door as our car was parked near by. As we walked in, my son seemed to have been holding for washroom and he quickly went into a washroom near the back door. It was written employees only on the door. So I asked one of the workers in the store if my son can use it. But at the same time he was using it. The staff came walking toward the washroom yelling at my son to get out at once. I told her he is not finished peeing. And she went into the washroom where my son was standing in front of the toilet bowl yelling at him to get out. I was so shocked. And then another woman at the counter shouted at me that he should have read the sign and go to the washroom for customers. I tried to be patient as much as I could and explained to her that he cannot read and that he was in a hurry (while this other woman was still shouting at my son to get out in the washroom). Then the woman at the counter ordered me that I should wash their washroom. I said "NO, I am not going to wash your washroom."
Who do I contact to report these people?
My son is just a 10 year old boy and non-verbal. And after all this, while we were walking back to our car, his head was dropped and I saw tears in his eyes. Even though he does not know how to read, he understands what is going on around him. They should not treat any child like that, whether he/she has a disability or not. Does anyone know who I should contact to report these people and make them learn their lessons?Lucia
