Joelle and LeightonMemberDoes anyone have any comments on the
following website?Joelle and LeightonMemberI just wanted to let parents know, if you're having trouble finding therapists here's another option we've tried recently.
I phoned our local high school and spoke to a school counsellor. I told her our situation and asked if she could put our job posting up on their bulletin board. She later found out that it's against school policy to do this. But she did keep her eyes open for certain students that she felt had what it takes to be a good therapist. With the students she works with, she showed them our job posting. They in turn sent us their resume. We received 2 good applicants using this method. We're in the process of training them to be Lovaas ABA therapists. Whatever you do, don't go through the principal or vice principal of the school, because they'll just give you a flat "no", because of school policies. You're best off talking directly to a school counsellor. Best of luck, Joelle
