We are looking for a therapist/tutor to join our team in ABA program + homeschool for our 15 years old son with autism in Port Moody.

Requirements:

• Able to attend team meetings once a month.
• Able to make at least one year commitment.
• Take at least 2 days shifts per week.
• Providing us with the criminal record check is absolutely necessary.

  Previous experience working with children with Autism would be fantastic, but is not essential. Training will be provided with ongoing support from behavior consultant, and speech therapist.

Hello,

I need advice from families who homeschooled their kids, or have information about homeschooling.

My son has been homeschooled since kindergarten and he will be in grade 2 in next school year. Every year the homeschool agency takes some amount of money from kids’ funding which is norm, but are they supposed to take more money from funding each year? The amount they took from my son’s funding was $2,000 in kindergarten, $4,000 in grade 1, and for next year it would be $5,800. I was expecting they take the same as grade 1 because I haven’t seen any changes in their services.

Any comments would be appreciated.
