ParticipantWe are looking for an ABA SW (South Surrey) for our 10 year old son who is going into Grade 5 in September. He is high functioning, verbal, friendly and very imaginative. His ABA protocol focus' mainly on social and life skills and also incorporates regular physical activities such as running, yoga and taikwondo.
He has been in an ABA program for the past 6 years under our consultants Leah Mumford and Dr. Sara White and continues to make impressive progress. Our current ABA SW is leaving in June, so we are hiring someone who is able to begin training soon to start in school in September.
We are looking for someone with a fun and positive attitude, an excellent communicator, and who has a desire to make a difference in the life of a child. We would like the ABA SW to be involved in our home ABA program and attend regular team meetings. We would also like them to participate in extracurricular activities at school such as cross country and track and field.

These "Neighborhood Network" groups have been meeting monthly, providing support to new parents and sharing information and experience on various topics.
Please contact any of these facilitators if you are interested in attending a meeting.
All meetings are open to parents from all locations!

Jen at jantic@telus.net – facilitator of Central/North Surrey group which meets every month. They are meeting Thurs Feb 21 at 7:00pm
Roxanne at bradrox@shaw.ca – facilitator of South Surrey/White Rock group which meets every month. Next meeting is Thurs. Feb. 28 at 7:00. Roxanne is coordinating with the ABA Advisory to have Katherine Remidios of SD36 at this meeting to discuss the process of ABA kids transitioning into K.
