I have a therapist who moved out to Kelowna. She has been out of practice for about a year and wanted to know if there was any "refresher" classes out that way?

She is interested in becoming a therapist again.

    Anyone know anything about Kelowna?

I was hoping to get some options to pass on to a mother – who's son was just diagnosed with aspbergers (Spelling?)..

She has been suggested RDI (Relationship development intervention)… but was wondering what options there are. I only know of ABA and most consultants don't take kids this old (14 years I believe).

    thanks for any help.

Does anyone have a copy of the transcript of the the Hewko ruling?

I didn't realize it would disappear. I wanted to pass it on to a friend who is having problems with the school her Autistic son attends listening to her and/or her husband about their concerns.

The funding is not nearly enough. It covers at best half and realistically not even that. My consultant alone almost costs that. I do as much as I can to keep costs down – The resulting stress is distroying me and putting unreal strain on my family.

I would like to request an image for each child with Autism. It can be a photo, a scan of foot prints, orginal drawing or writting from them… Just scan it in and send it to me. Just something that would fit in an 8×8 square. I leave it to you if you want a name or nick-name in the image, but it is NOT required (Also please let me know what province you are in if it is not BC)

I have a couple of us who will be printing on fabric and assembing blocks. Anyone interested in doing any quilting just let me know. (I have sent out a previous design to people but since then have simplified it more so wait for the next email with instructions.)

    once again my email is

    jmrbell@telus.net

I will post a link to a photo once we have the first dozen or so blocks done (and know the design will work!)

Okay I am looking into a suggestion from another FEAT'er. A more visual and "neutral" protest method that I think is great.

An Autism quilt. I have a design in mind that makes each block seperate and then we can button the quilt together as we add children. As parents you can either not submit anything, submit a digital photo that will get printed on fabric and made into a block, or a hand or foot print. (you can email me for some suggestions on how to do this). Also let me know If you want your childs first name on the block or not.

I just need some help. If you are a quilter or are interested in becoming one please email me.
