December 30, 2009 at 11:54 pm #542Joanna NgMemberHi. Has anyone taken their child for a serum lead screening? Is this helpful?
Also, can anyone recommend a kind and patient pediatric in Burnaby/Vancouver? As we all understand, our children are not the most adorable kids when they are in the clinic.
First of all, thank you for helping my kid & my family. Email: hana.takuya@yahoo.com

We're looking into Family Centred Practices, also Loyst and Associates. Does anyone have experience and/or feeback on either? Or any suggestions for other consultants that work in Vancouver?
Any feedback is very much appreciated to vdacosta@shaw.ca

The Canadian Press
SOUTH BAR, N.S. A search is underway today for an autistic boy who wandered away from his home in rural Cape Breton without a winter coat, as an early winter storm hit the island.
Seven-year-old James Delorey was apparently following the familys dog when he walked into the woods near South Bar at around 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Police say the brown-haired boy, who weighs about 60 pounds, was wearing dark jeans, a blue plaid shirt and a grey-coloured vest.
The temperature was cold early Sunday and winds were gusting and wet snow falling as the storm made its way eastwards to Newfoundland.
Several hours after the search started on Saturday, military officials in Halifax dispatched a Cormorant helicopter from Canadian Forces Base Greenwood, while boats searched the east side of Sydney harbour as well.
However, Staff Sgt. Ken ONeill, a spokesman for Cape Breton Regional Police, said at noon on Sunday that there was no change in the status of the search about 10 kilometres north of Sydney.December 5, 2009 at 7:47 am #561Super DadParticipantNorth Shore ASBC Lecture Series

December 2, 2009 at 3:22 am #563Raj HoMemberHi, I have a 3 year old son just diagnossed with ASD, so I am a new parent trying to start a Intervention program.I am currently looking for a behavior consultant. I would like to get some info if anyone has any experiences with a couple of providers. They are Josh Fouts of Laurel group and also Family centred practices. I also like to mention that I live in Burnaby near sperling station. Any recommendation would also be appreciated. I think my son is high funtioning but I do not think he has aspergers because his speech is behind if that makes any sense. Thanks in advance.
