This seems to be a good investment.
I still remember that I got my family the Wii and Wii Fit on 2008 December. My boy was 6 and it took us some time to train him to play some simple games. But it was definitely worth the money and time. we had a great Christmas time (due to the heavy snow, so we could not go anywhere but stayed home).
Merry Christmas to all the hard working families.
Peter.

I'm trying to help a family from Italy who is considering a move to Canada. They have a little boy with autism who is 3 years old and are currently running an ABA program with out-of-country Behaviour Consultation. They have many questions, which I am not able to answer, about moving here. Are there any families out there who have immigrated to Canada and are currently running ABA program for a child under six, who may be able to offer some help? Here are a few of their specific questions:
-Is it difficult to be accepted into the country as a permanent resident, with a child with autism?
-Could they apply as temporary workers?
-Would they be eligible for the government funding in either of these scenarios? If you can help, please email me with information I can forward on. Or, email me and I will send you the family's direct email address (the Mom speaks/writes English well).
Thank you!
Liana Maione

2) How is it incorporated into an existing or non-existing behavior therapy program?

November 4, 2010 at 4:23 pm #7013Dione CostanzoParticipantHi everyone,
The ABA Support Network is pleased to announce the launch of 9 Neighborhood Network groups!
Small groups of ABA parents wanting to connect and network locally have been established in 9 areas in BC. Please contact the facilitator of a group to find out more and join the meetings. Each group will be having monthly meetings and time and date will be determined by what works for each group.
The meeting agenda of each group will vary depending on that areas needs and wants. If it is getting together for coffee or organizing a group to advocate for ABA services in school this is where you can participate and get the support you need.
Please see our website for a list of the areas, facilitators and contact information.

We need more volunteers
for the monthly lecture series!Volunteering for the ASBC has been an immensely rewarding experience. It feels great to be a part of the parents helping parents tradition. Due to increased responsibilities at the ASBC, however, we are finding it difficult to keep the lecture series running with only two facilitators. Come join the team, serve the community, and help the children!
Feel free to send questions to <tony.tamer@yahoo.com>.
