MemberHi everyone,
This question will be directed at those of you with pretty high functioning or Asperger's kids. I am wondering if any of you have any experience putting your child with ASD into French Immersion Elementary school?
We are considering it since our son is very advanced academically and with language, he is also been labelled as gifted – our Consultant said it is something we can still consider even with his ASD diagnosis. So, if anyone has their child in French or has experienced any problems putting them into a French Immersion program due to their need for a classroom aide etc. I would love to hear from you!
Please email me at: arjacobson@shaw.ca
Thanks!

ParticipantHi All,
This movie, which I like to call, an "inconvenient truth" for autism (for obvious reasons) is worthwhile sending to contacts that have nothing to do with autism. If any of you have twitter accounts, you might want to twitter about this. Here's a tiny URL that I created for twitter when I tweeted about the film on my blog with the trailer embedded (since twitter won't take the large link): http://tinyurl.com/3o4yl2cAugust 29, 2011 at 5:45 am #6847Karla Leung
MemberHi,
Wondering if anyone has advice/recommendations? I'm in a bit of a jam as my twin sons are not currently toilet-trained and when they turn 3 this coming January, our current daycare provider can no longer take them.
I'm hoping to find some recommendations for a daycare provider who will be ok with the fact that my sons will probably not be fully toilet-trained by January. I've checked out preschools in our area (Burnaby) but the majority require that the children to be toilet-trained. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. Thanks to everyone who provided recommendations to my request re: behavioral analysts/consultants, especially to Tina for her tips and advice.

ParticipantHello,
I'm posting on behalf of a family.
One of the families I work has a daughter who has limited verbal and attention skills, but requires a optometrist appointment. If there are other families who have had experience going to the optometrist without the prerequisite skills of being able to identify letters or sit for extended periods of time, they would very much appreciate your advice.
please send all messages to leahmumford@gmail.com
thank you,

MemberHello All!!
I am looking for some feedback on edible reinforcements for my 2 year old daughters ABA program.
We will be implementing a gluten and casein free diet soon, and at this time most of her reinforcements are edibles ( cheezies, Reeses pieces, gummies).
We need to find replacements for these edibles that are gluten and casein free…
Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks in advance..Leah Palsson
