Hi everyone,
Over the years, many parents/professionals/paraprofessionals have requested a place on the web where they could share information about the book, Teach Me Language. Finally, I've set up a public forum where people who use the book can exchange ideas. For those of you new to the world of autism treatment, this is not the first book you use; rather it is great after your child has been in a treatment program and has progressed from beginning programs.
Here's the forum:

If you use the book, and you find the forum useful, please let your social network know about it.
Enjoy!

Our son is almost 4 yrs old and we're going through all the challenges you mentioned. We have many bright days, but we are almost always in panic mode about our financial situation. I appreciate you taking the time to encourage all of us to 'keep on trekking'.
A BIG congratulations to your whole family for achieving an "N"!

For those of you who are having a hard time with toilet training, issues around sleeping, eating, screaming, tantruming, and the countless other things autism brings, rest assured that with proper treatment your child will reach their potential. They might not drive a car; they might; but they'll get as far as they can.
The day we were diagnosed (and I say we because it affects everyone in the family)all I could think about was how big of a trust fund we were going to need. Now, things are very different.
So many people still don't know that autism is treatable. LET EVERYONE KNOW!!!!!! It is truly the only chance our children have.
Thanks Sabrina and Jean!!

We need advice on how to get our daughter to take medicine.
So, we decided to put our high-functioning daughter on meds, and we've been prescribed liquid Fluoxetine. The problem is, she can taste it.
It's minty, but also medicine-y. I thought that chocolate chip ice cream would mask the taste, but she won't take it. We went with liquid because she has a lot of oral challenges and sensitivities, but now I'm wondering if a crushed pill might be better. Has anyone actually taught their child to swallow a pill? I know there are cups that facilitate this, but I haven't ever tried them.
Any and all comments are welcome at:
