Hi, This is not related to our ABA program, but was just wondering if any parents have had any experience or suggestions on how to deal with eyeglasses. Our son went to the eye doctor today, and he has a lazy eye, which of course they want us to patch and get him to wear glasses as well. My son is quite obessive compulsive, when he had stitches last year he pulled half of them out. I am wondering how on earth I am going to get him to leave an eye patch and glasses on for 8 hours a day. He is only 5yrs old and has no speech and reasoning with him isn't going to be easy. I was also wondering if anybody has gone to a store to buy glasses that was or is experience in dealing with special needs children. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance. My husband and I were on Shaw Cable's Valley Connections last night and did a 30 minute spot about none other than Autism. I'm not sure when it will be on again but apparantly it will be a few more times this month. If anyone catches it let me know what you think.
Also we are starting with WEAP next week. Tres exciting!
