MemberIn regards to the conference – what do you expect it will be like? I'd like to come out and show my support, but am not up-to-date on all the politics, or as informed as I should be. Is this something where we can show support just by BEING there, cheering, waving a sign, etc., or is it more of a sit quietly, listen, ask questions and answer questions kind of deal?

ParticipantParents old and new,
This Peter Stoffer announcement is a perfect time to get to know your neighbourhood ABA kin. Feel free to post on this chat board if you can drive someone in to Metrotown or if you need a ride. Think of all the information you can be sharing on your drive in. It is important that you feel connected to your community. That you do not feel alone.
Hope to see you all there.
Below is the information about Peter Stoffers announcement:
Peter Stoffer, NDP MP from Nova Scotia, who tabled Bill C-459, which was a private member's bill to, "ammend the Canada Health Act to include IBI/ABA into Medicare" is coming to Vancouver next Friday, March 24th.
He is coming for the sole purpose of holding a press conference to announce his intention to re-introduce his Bill in the House of Commons when parliament reconvenes in April!
THIS IS A HUGE STEP FORWARD FOR OUR CAUSE!
Mr. Stoffer has asked us to invite as many ABA parents and supporters as possible to attend his press conference. There will be a number of speakers, including Peter Stoffer, Peter Julian, Dr. Glen Davies, Dr. Sabrina Freeman and others. Needless to say, we ALL need to be there!
Friday, March 24th @ 2:00 p.m.
