May 10, 2007 at 1:12 am #5221FEAT BC AdminKeymasterHello Everyone,
This is a quick reminder for the group, in view of the recent exchange in the Government Topics room.
Although a spirited debate of ideas related to medically necessary autism treatment is always welcome in this space, personal attacks are not; it is imperative that members of the group respect the rule that personal attacks against other members of the discussion forum are impermissible.
I would encourage everyone to carefully review their prospective posts in the preview window (i.e., please take a breath, have a thoughtful second look) prior to hitting the submit button. Make sure the message is about issues, and not a post that may be interpreted as a personal rant/vent against any member of the group.
Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining the quality of the FEAT-BC discussion forum.

Last month I posted that I needed a dollhouse for my daughter's therapy and I just wanted to thank you for all the offers that poured in. I again, in yet another way, felt so supported and nurtured by you all. Stay kind…

P.S. Now if any of you have a Smurf collection
you're not using…we'd happily adopt that too.May 8, 2007 at 6:38 am #5223Diane TMemberMid-Island ASBC Parent Support Group Meeting

May 8, 2007 at 5:38 am #5224Adrienne MullerMemberHello all. I have found this board so informative and supportive, that I thought I would try you on some more questions I am having.
My son's diagnosis will come through this week,so I am now looking into applying for funding. I am wondering about the funding options given by the government:
1) is the invoice or direct funding option the best way to go?
2) if you start receiving funds part way through the year, can you still get the full $20,000?? Do they deem the year to start Jan or on your child's birthday. Thanks again featers!
