February 11, 2008 at 5:23 pm #5495Luke’s mamaMemberHi all,
anyone have any good or bad feedback regards to Monarch Pediatric in Bby. We have cavities for Luke and cost is in thousand and over.
Please advise also if you have had services with BC Children's Hospital Dental Clinic and how it has been. Nervous because they sound like they are dental students. However if we can have Luke's teeth (4 cavities) done it would really ease our costs and we can put more money to his ABA therapy.
HOw long was the procedure and how long did it take for your child to wake up.
Is the list at Children's as horribly long as it is? My dentist said 8months and I called and they said booking consultations into April.
Please advise.
Thanks a bunch. A penny saved is a penny earned toward ABA Therapy .Luke's mom

from Luke's momFebruary 6, 2008 at 6:56 pm #5501Todd DeaParticipantLukes mama,
You may want to include your e-mail address so those interested in doing so can contact you off board given that we are only supposed to chat about ABA (Lovaas exclusively) therapy here. Unfortunately diet and bio-med intervention discussions are a no-no on this forum.
We are doing what you are enquiring about (the combined approach) and would be more than happy to share our experience so for with you.

onedea@shaw.caFebruary 6, 2008 at 5:35 pm #5502Luke’s mamaMemberDoes anyone know about using casein free/gluten free diet, nutrional supplements combined with ABA? Any pros or cons? Would love to know your experience since our child has huge sensory issues so this will be difficult. Is it worth it to switch. Our child has huge gag reflex to food and textures, even smells of new food.
Thx for your input and post. It is important to know since the whole family is considering this diet together.
