We are looking to hire a new BI to work with our 6 year old son who has Autism. He is a very happy go-lucky kind of guy who loves to work one-to-one.
We are looking for someone to work 2-4 shifts per week for 2 hours each shift. These shifts will be between the hours of approximately 3pm to 5pm and will take place at our son's daycare. Attendance at monthly meetings is mandatory.
We are looking for someone who is gentle but firm, consistent, energetic, outgoing, honest and punctual.
Preference will be given to those with ABA experience, and if you have an interest in being an ABA Support Worker and you have 1000 hours in ABA (or close to, under a Board Certified Behavior Consultant) this BI position could lead to an ABA SW position in Surrey School District.
We will also need a current criminal check as well as 2 relevant references.
We live in the Ocean Park area of South Surrey. If you are interested in applying for the position, please send your resume and references to dlphilipchuk@gmail.com
Thanks — Dawn Philipchuk
June 26, 2013 at 6:15 am #8355Taylor SinclairMemberI am wanting to go into the Surrey school system by September 2014, the reason I posted this early is because I know a lot of parents like the person going to school with their child to work in home sessions too, and I also want to get a bond with the child. I am 20 years old, and I have been working with kids with autism since I was 19 I absolutely love it. As of now and until September 2014 i am avaliable morings and some afternoons. So the child would have to be in preschool for another year and start Kindergarten in September. I am still reaching my 1000 hours. I am currently in university and going to study Kinesiology and wanting to become an OT. Thanks for the interest.
Looking for South Surrey, Whiterock area if possible.

June 23, 2013 at 2:49 pm #8362Dione CostanzoParticipantTo all parents – please take 5 minutes to complete this important survey regarding ABA in schools.
Parents in Langley and Coquitlam are currently working to improve access to quality ABA in schools there. It is time for us to gather fresh information about ABA in the schools in order to give these parents data to help make their case.
We would like to have ALL parents complete this survey, including those that have chosen to homeschool and whether they are in a good, bad or neutral situation. This survey also applies to parents of preschoolers.
Here is a link to the survey – https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/55MH2J3
Parents Helping Parents THANK YOU for your support!
