This is an excellent opportunity for energetic, caring, and patient individuals who want to be involved in changing the life of a 5-year old boy! He was recently diagnosed with PDD-NOS, and we are looking to hire a dedicated behaviour interventionist to join his home-based ABA program. Training in ABA teaching methods and data collection are an asset but not a requirement. It is more important that you are able to provide a caring and consistent teaching environment.
Successful applicants will be working in an established program under the guidance of a trained consultant with Little Mountain ABA. All training will be provided. Session times are flexible and will try to accommodate the successful applicants schedule. Sessions are 2-3 hours long and successful candidates will be hired for 2 sessions per week plus 2 team meetings per month.
Applicants should be:
Reliable, compassionate, and energetic. The ideal candidate will bring a sense of fun and creativity to their teaching.
Willing to make a minimum 1-year commitment.
Available to start in September.
Experience with children and children with special needs is an asset but not a requirement.
Post-secondary education in psychology, education, or child development is an asset but is not required.
Salary is negotiable and based on previous experience.
Interested parties please send a resume and cover letter to catherinerailton@shaw.ca.August 14, 2013 at 11:39 pm #8403Zoe TarlowMemberHello, I work as a Behavior Interventionist in the South Surrey area and I'm looking to join another team sometime in September. I plan on attending Surrey College and taking The Applied Behavior Analysis Support Worker Certificate Program. My goal is to eventually work full-time in the school district.
Iâm a nurturing, caring person who loves working in the ABA field. I truly enjoy making a difference in a childâs life. Iâm also a journalism graduate and a certified hairdresser. I have over five-yearâs experience working in a daycare environment.
I am looking to join another team in the area working four to six hours a week. I would prefer shifts that begin in the morning/late morning because this works out better for my family as I have a little one at home myself. My availability for sessions are Tuesday mornings, Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. and Thursday mornings. Back-to-back shifts that go into the afternoon would work as well. I hope to find a good match and to start work sometime in September. Please email me if you think I could be a good fit for your family.
Thank-you,
