Im looking for a BI with an interest in soccer to help my 5 year old son Chase at his Coast soccer practice once a week on Monday nights at South Meridian Elementary 16244 – 13 avenue 5pm to 6pm. This person needs to have an understanding of the game and the exercises, be high energy and be willing to pre-load a set of exercises on a visual board to help facilitate him through the practice. You will ideally be communicating with the coach the week before to see what drill the practice will be composed of. You would use a token system to reinforce Chase as he has a history of responding really well to this system.
November 27, 2013 at 5:51 am #8505Susie TimmsMemberHello; I am planning to register in Surrey College's ABA Support Workers Program next fall. My long term objective is to work within the school district. I am looking to join a team in the Langley area (preferably Brookswood or South Langley) but would consider other areas of Langley, Cloverdale, South Surrey and Aldergrove. I would be available to up to three – 2 to 3+ hour shifts per week starting at 5:30pm or later during the week and anytime on the weekend.
I do not have any training in ABA but would be willing to learn from the guidance of your current team and board certified consultant.
I have my own successful small home daycare for children under 6 which has been operating for the past 5 years and have excellent childcare references. My own children are now in school full time which is why I am perusing this goal of mine to make a difference in a child's life.
I have current First Aid/CPR, Food Safe, clean driving record, own transportation and clear criminal record check. I am great at playing, singing songs, doing crafts and puzzles, reading books and community outings. Please email me if you think I would be a good fit for your family.

November 22, 2013 at 2:55 am #8509Leah MumfordParticipantPosting on behalf of a family:
We are looking for someone who is interested in an ABA-SW position in a supportive South Surrey school. This grade 5 student has full-time coverage, is high functioning, with a program focused on academic support and social skills development. He has been in a well-established home program for over 7 years, and has an involved and committed family. There is a high level of consultant support provided by Leah Mumford. This request is time sensitive as we have only just learned that his current ABA-SW will be leaving in April. Ideally, we would like someone who is interested in continuing in this position for the 2014/15 school year, but our more immediate need is to fill the 3 last months of this school year. (E.g., This may suit university students who are looking for full-time work once exams are finished.) If you have 1,000 hours of ABA experience, or will be close to that by April (non-agency hours), are collaborative, able to multi-task, and would enjoy working with an excellent and experienced home team, please contact the family at mummyx2@hotmail.com at your earliest convenience. We look forward to hearing from you, and know that you will love joining this dynamic and collaborative team.
Thank you!

November 20, 2013 at 5:02 am #8511L SukParticipantHi All!
Some questions from a parent in Surrey….
1) We are planning to request for an ABASW. ARe the Behaviour Consultants listed in the RASP list of ACT BC website the only consultants that are out there?
2) Do they have to be Board Certified (BCBA) consultants in order for my child to have an ABASW?
3) Is the meeting (scheduled Nov 27 in Surrey College) opened for any parents who are interested in ABA and the school, or is it focused only for the parents who already have an ABASW for their child?
Thank you!
