Posting on behalf of a family.
Looking for enthusiastic individuals interested in working with our teenaged son with autism. Our son is non-verbal, and a tricky learner, but is a sweet gentle boy with minimal problematic behaviors.
You will be working as part of a team, focusing on functional daily living skills, self-help/independence, pre-vocational training, communication, fitness and independent leisure skills. Therapy will take place in the home as well as out in the community.
You must have a clean criminal record check, a drivers licence, and be willing to commit to 2-3 shifts per week, and bi-weekly team meetings with the whole team.
All training will be provided by our Board Certified Behavior Consultant, and experience in ABA is an asset but not required. We are looking for therapist with experience as well, with the potential to be trained for a lead position.
Please email all resumes, and include hours of availability to Nicole at ncopeman@gmail.com
*Position is in West Vancouver

Wangfei02@hotmail.comJanuary 5, 2014 at 6:48 pm #8491Terrie RobertsMemberWe are looking for an ABA-SW for a position in a very supportive Cloverdale school for a grade one student who has full-time coverage. The student, a seven-year old girl, is a quick learner with a great sense of humour and has been in a well-established home ABA program for nearly four years, under the direction of Theresa Jouan and with the support of an involved and committed family. The position would be approximately one year (to cover a leave) beginning in the spring of 2014. If you have or are nearing 1,000 hours of ABA experience, and are looking for an opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team, please contact us at terrie.roberts@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
January 5, 2014 at 4:20 pm #8492Cathy FitzhughParticipant{Hello FEAT Readers}
The time has come again: We need a new line therapist for our team in central Vancouver. Our eleven-year-old daughter is high functioning, verbal, affectionate, and very entertaining. Her therapy is fascinating, and her progress is consistent. She has been doing ABA therapy for nine years.
We work under the guidance of Kim Kirsch and the Early Autism Project, a home-based ABA program. Training will be provided by our current lead, who is amazing. (You are in luck.)
You need to be fun, responsible, dedicated, and creative. You should have strong play skills, a positive attitude, and lots of energy and patience. You are a good multi-tasker, are organized, encouraging, enthusiastic, and responsible. Previous experience with ABA programs is a plus, but as long as you seem bright, caring, and capable, we are interested. A criminal record check will be obligatory.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: picking our daughter up from school, recording data, facilitating playdates, helping with home living skills, and helping her with fine and gross motor challenges.
You would have three sessions a week that run from 3:00 to 5:50, and would need to attend a team meeting, held once a month, from 5:00 to 6:30.
If you are interested, please send your resume to:
cathy.fitzhugh@gmail.comWe look forward to hearing from you.
{Thanks}
