Are you a current ABA-SW considering a change? Are you a new ABA-SW candidate, looking for a position in September? If so, we would love to meet with you!
We are looking for someone who is interested in an ABA-SW position in a supportive South Surrey school. This student will be entering grade 6 in September, has full-time coverage, is high functioning, with a program focused on academic support and social skills development. He has been in a well-established home program for almost 8 years, and has an involved and committed family. There is a high level of consultant support provided by Leah Mumford. If you have 1,000 hours of ABA experience (non-agency hours), are collaborative, able to multi-task, and would enjoy working with an excellent and experienced home team, please contact the family at mummyx2@hotmail.com at your earliest convenience. We look forward to hearing from you, and know that you will love joining this dynamic and collaborative team.

ABA in BC Schools and Parent Advocacy
(11:15am on Saturday at the BC-ABA Conference)Presenters: Nancy Walton, Dione Costanzo, & Jodie Wickens, ABA Support Network
Description: It is important for parents, BI's, consultants and paraprofessionals to understand the role parents play in improving ABA services in BC. This mini seminar will include a brief history of ABA funding in BC, access to ABA in the classroom and how parents were able to advocate for change. Then presenters will provide a blue print for how parents can advocate for their own child over individual issues. Lastly, we will discuss the importance of paying it forward so that a stronger ABA community can make it easier for families to advocate for their children.
