July 2, 2014 at 5:15 pm #8665Kim KirschParticipant**ABA THERAPIST(S) NEEDED IN VANCOUVER**
I am posting on behalf of a client.
I have a family from Vancouver that is seeking short term help in the form of 1 or 2 experienced ABA therapists, to work with their 12 year old son for the months of July & August. Their son's program is an established one that has been under the supervision of the Early Autism Project for 8+ years.
If you are a therapist who has extra capacity this summer and can possibly help this family, it would be appreciated if you can email the family at "vancouveraba123@gmail.com"
Thank you!

We are also looking for an ABA SW for our son. We are in the coveted South Surrey school catchment and have full support of the school district for our son. He has a full time one-to-one ABA SW position coming available for the 2014-2015 school year. He has a fantastic Augmentative Speech Therapy program already in place and wonderful little classmates that love to help out Like I say below, our son is absolutely wonderful and a joy to work with. We are also open to having the ABA SW work on our home team if you are looking for additional hours and you would be welcomed to start asap. Thank you!! Dawn – dlphilipchuk@gmail.com
From yesterday:
We are looking to hire a Behaviour Interventionist for our home based ABA team for our wonderful 7 year old son who is on the Autism spectrum disorder.

West Vancouver Memorial LibraryGUEST SPEAKER:
An officer of the West Vancouver Police Department has graciously volunteered his time to answer questions and address potential concerns.
TOPIC:
Despite our best efforts, inadvertent violation (or perceived violation) of the law is possible for many of our sons and daughters regardless of age. There have been cases where the police have been called to North Shore schools in response to behavioural issues. There have also been cases where local children over 18 have been charged with criminal offences. In other cities, clashes between autistic behaviours and armed policemen have resulted in tragedies. This meeting is an opportunity for parents to discuss ways to prevent run-ins with the law, and what to do if it happens.
DIRECTIONS:
The West Vancouver Memorial Library is at 1950 Marine Drive:

Coffee/Tea and snacks provided. Donations are greatly appreciated (but not required).
