We are looking for:
-Someone to support our son in his pre-school class, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, from 9 – 11:30am. Position may start anytime between now and January. We'd love it if you can start soon, but will wait for the right person.

In order to be eligible to be hired by the district, you need 1000 hours of experience on ABA teams, under a Behaviour Consultant qualified to sign off on your hours. If you think you could have close to this qualification by the end of the summer, and are interested in this opportunity, we'd love to hear from you. Training provided by our BCBA. Also, we are happy to help find other teams to work with, if your goal is to build your hours of experience.
-Someone that is great with children, playful and comfortable in a group setting.
-Someone that is able to facilitate social and peer interaction skills in a group setting.Our son is 4 and he's a very happy, chatty easy going little guy. He wants to make friends but needs help doing so. We live in Surrey, in the Port Kells area.
If you'd like to be part of our new team by supporting him in pre-school and work towards supporting him in Kindergarten as well, or to get more information, please contact afabateam@gmail.com for more details.

Experience is an asset, but we are happy to provide high quality training for someone motivated and career minded. This is a long-term position with a lot of potential for growth. Hi Feat families,
It's our daughter's last year in elementary school in Vancouver and I'm very nervous about the transition into high school. I'd love to chat briefly with some of you who have already gone through this in order to get a better idea of what I need to be prepared for.
If this is something you've gone through, and you have a few minutes to spare and would be willing to have a phone chat, or meet for a cup of coffee (on me!) to talk, I'd really appreciate it.
~~We have no greater ally than those who have walked the path before us~~
If you're into it, please drop me an email at cathy.fitzhugh@gmail.com, leave me your phone number, and let me know what time of day generally work for you. Thanks so much in advance!
{Cathy Fitzhugh}
P.S. We are also STILL really struggling to find a new lead therapist for our team (and are currently running programs without on!) If you know of anyone in Vancouver who might be interested, or a strong lead who might need another team, please, please, please, please, please feel free to pass on my contact info. Thanks muchly. Again.
