Looking for enthusiastic, fun, and motivated Behaviour Interventionists to work with a 5 year old boy diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Work will include following tasks and programs as outlined by the behaviour consultant for academic and social skills. All training will be provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

You must be able to work 2-3 sessions/week Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays after 3 or Monday and Wednesdays after 5. We are located in Surrey, Clayton Heights area.

Applicants with child experience are encouraged to apply. This is a great experience for those wanting to work in the field of behaviour analysis, education, and psychology. Successful candidates need to be motivated, eager and quick to learn. We want interventionists who will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and be able to accept and implement feedback accordingly. You must be able to make at least a 1 year commitment, be at least 19 years of age, and be extremely proficient in the English language and be willing to complete a criminal record check.

Presenters will discuss the journey from assessment through diagnosis and navigating the myriad of information that comes with an autism diagnosis.

The focus of this presentation is on supporting parents to identify the components of a therapy program that will best suit their child, including evaluating and hiring service providers.

Training and supervision will be provided by Dr. Joan Broto (BCBA-D) and intern Tracey Feenstra.

The session hours will be M-F 10-12 and 3-5 pm (the hours are flexible) and team meetings will be held during the day. Weekend sessions may be available.

Behaviour Interventionist (BI) / Education Assistant (EA)

We are looking for an energetic Behaviour Interventionist (BI) to work with our cheerful and friendly child in our well-established ABA home team. There is potential for this position to lead into a full-time EA position with our child at a private school in the Lower Mainland.

The successful applicant would receive training immediately in our home under the supervision of our Team Lead Instructor, current EA, and BCBA-D (Dr. Sara White).

Previous ABA experience, EA/Support Worker experience, and/or experience working in a school environment or ABA home team are an asset.

Hourly wage will depend on background and experience. Annual increases will be considered.

Compensation for the potential EA position will be competitive and include benefits (in accordance with an employment agreement with the school).

Behaviour Interventionist Needed:

A BI is needed for at least 2 shifts per week, minimum of 3.5 hour shifts, or possibly of full day shifts (7-8 hours) available. This is an established program under the direction of Sharon Baxter, BCBA and Julee Bassetto, BCBA. Intensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The student is a 22 year old male diagnosed with autism and mitochondrial disease. He has been in an home based ABA program since the age of 3 years old.

This student's program is run by Arcus Community Resources, out of his family home. The program focuses on communication, leisure, self-help and self-management skills in his home and in the community. The student demonstrates aggression and self-injury.

We require a one year commitment.

The successful candidate will be required to use their own vehicle for community outings.

ABA THERAPIST REQUIRED in West Vancouver (May 2015 start date)

We are looking for an experienced ABA therapist who is reliable, energetic, patient, and possessing strong communication/social play skills to provide 1:1 support to our high-functioning 11 year old son
at home and in after school activities. Therefore, owning a car and a valid driver’s license is a requirement. Having an academic background in Behavioural Psychology, special education, or early childhood education would be an asset.

Job Description/Requirements:
* Shifts are 2 hrs long, 2-3 times/week after school, with possibility of increased shifts in summer.
* Implement programs designed by our BCBA to teach replacement language, social, academic and cognitive skills.
* Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and implement constructive feedback.
* Some training in the home setting will be provided.
* Fluent in English.
* Attend mandatory monthly 1.5 hr hour team meetings.
* Able to commit for 6 months.
* Must be at least 19 years old and have a clear criminal record check.

Full-time or Part-time SEA with ABA experience needed for a 10 year old boy entering grade 6 at a North Vancouver school. This is a supervised position via monthly overlaps from a BCBA. The primary focus will be academic support (of grade level curriculum), as well as teaching social skills.
