We need therapists to work with the cutest 4-year-old in the world. People with no experience are welcome to apply.
This gives you the coveted opportunity to work with behavioural consultants Michele Shilvock and Bohdanna Popowycz Kvam, and with the famous senior therapists Gabrielle Stigant and Elna Sund. You cannot possibly get better training anywhere else.
We are right in the middle of Vancouver, easily accessible by bus.
Please send your resume to: leomom2004@yahoo.ca

May 9, 2006 at 5:24 pm #9234Andrea FinchParticipantThe ABA SWAP meet is a "go"!
Come one, come all! Do you have unused ABA items piled up in storage? Boxes of old toys, games, sequencing cards, etc.? Are you a parent, consultant, or therapist looking for programme stimuli or fresh reinforcers? If so, the North Shore ABA SWAP is probably for you!
Date: Saturday, June 3, 2006
Time: 10 a.m. – 12 noon
Location: St. David's Church in West Vancouver (conveniently located at the intersection of the Upper Levels Highway (Hwy #1) and Taylor Way.We also plan to have a table of resource materials from the Autism Society's library, available for review, as well as a sign up sheet for parents-seeking-therapists and therapists-seeking-jobs (while we don't expect many therapists at this event, all are welcome).
Protocol:
1. Parents, families or teams may sell or donate ABA-related items.
2. Anyone selling or donating items must bring them to the Church themselves and must remove unclaimed or unsold items at the end of the SWAP (ie. we are not providing garbage disposal or Sally Ann delivery service!)
3. Tables are available if we want them. Please e-mail Eva or Andrea by WED. MAY 31st if you'd like one.
4. We would appreciate assistance with clean up/tables away at the end.We know that many of you have expressed an interest so far. Please e-mail again if you change your mind and can't come, or if you didn't e-mail the first time and want to attend.
We expect this will be not only a useful spot to find ABA-tested materials, but also a fun morning to network with other parents and consultants! Looking forward to seeing you there!
Andrea (andreafinch@shaw.ca) and Eva (eva@evaleeassociates.com).
NB. We are holding this event INSTEAD of the usual Tuesday evening lecture – there will be NO meeting Tuesday, May 30th.
