    Looking for funky, out-of-the-box thinkers, hip, funny, kind, high energy superheroes ! You could be pursuing a future in psychology, teaching, coaching or wanting to become an EA / ABA Support Worker in the Surrey school district and want a little experience with autism.
    Well, here is your opportunity ! Come and get it ! We give you on the job paid training too!
    We have a little guy who is turning 7 in a couple of months and has been in an ABA program since he was just over 2 years old and who still needs ABA sessions after school.
    He loves Angry Birds, riding his bike, Minecraft, Pacman, girls in long
    dresses, chicken noodle soup, Robin Thicke, Sour Cream and Onion chips, colours, modelling clay, paint, swimming in a pool, hot tub, bath tub and the beach. We have had a team that hasn’t changed much since inception but there are major changes coming as some of our amazing team members are going on to bigger and better things and we wish them well. We have the highly regarded Dr. Sara White and Rubina Mangat as BCBA consultants for our ABA programmes. We offer a competitive hourly wage and we are located in

    ABA TUTOR – ROSEDALE, BC – Looking for two tutors to join our team for a 16-year-old moderately autistic boy. Our consultant is Kathryn de Lisser from ABLE Clinic. Training provided. Will accept applications from mature grade 11's and 12's. Must be able to provide a current clean criminal record. Must have reliable transportation for all seasons and be reliable. Must be energetic, fun loving, imaginative, team player, fast learner and discreet. The position is for a minimum of 12 months with the possibility of an extension.     Behaviour Interventionist Needed – East Vancouver (Near Vancouver Community College)

    We are looking for BIs to join a new home-based behaviour intervention program, working with a fun and enthusiastic 4-yr old girl. Program focus will be on: communication, pre-academic, play & leisure skills.
    The ideal candidate would have 1-yr BI experience although this is not essential. Those with a background in Psychology or related disciplines are desired. Training and frequent supervision will be provided by Sarah Dungait (BCBA).
    Applicants must:
    • Be fun and engaging!
    • Motivated to learn.
    • Be at least 19yrs old.
    • Have a clear criminal record check.
    • Be reliable.
    • Be willing to commit to 12-months minimum.
    • Be available for team meetings.

    Louise Witt will co-present with BCBA interns Tracey Feenstra and Jennifer Vellenoweth to discuss the journey from assessment through diagnosis and navigating the myriad of information that comes with an autism diagnosis.

    Louise is a social worker and parent of a child who has autism. She is a member of the Pacific Autism Family Center steering committee and an advocate in the autism community in BC.

    The focus of this presentation is on supporting parents to identify the components of an evidence based therapy program that will best suit their child, including evaluating and hiring service providers.

    Hello Everyone,

    We're looking for a BI/Support Worker, preferably male, who is athletic and energetic, a fantastic people person with impeccable social skills. You’ll be working with a bright & fun 10yr old boy diagnosed with ASD. His interests include video games, swimming, hiking, mini golf, bowling, reading, puzzles and board games. We’re located in South Surrey and looking to fill this position immediately.

    Candidate must be athletic, energetic, outgoing and be a strong swimmer. You will be responsible for implementing an intensive exercise program (swimming, basketball, running, hiking), teaching life skills through sports, social coping strategies, modeling age-appropriate play and going on community outings. The program will be run under the supervision of BCBA Nate Searle. No experience necessary as training will be provided, however experience will be an asset.

    Sessions will be a once weekly 3 hour session: either after school Fridays 3-6pm or Saturday/Sundays. Great potential for growth as significantly more hours may be available as program intensity increases. Also more hours available during the summer and other holidays. Also looking for 1 week summer camp commitment in July.

    Applicant must:
    – be at least 19 years old
    – have own car with valid driver’s license
    – Provide 2 professional references
    – have a clear criminal record check
    – first aid/CPR will be an asset
    – make a minimum 12 month commitment
    – attend team meetings every 6-8 weeks

    You have a positive attitude, lots of energy and patience. Salary will be negotiable based on your experience and performance.
