Seeking a playful, fun-loving, experienced therapist to join our fantastic White Rock area team. Our 4 year-old son is fun-loving, bright, verbal, and enthusiastic about his program. He is a fast learner, and has a great sense of humour! We are fortunate to have Consultant Liana Maione providing an intensive model of supervision to our son's program, so this would be a great opportunity for a therapist who welcomes frequent overlaps and opportunities to further develop his or her skills.

June 8, 2007 at 7:14 pm #9866Brent JordanParticipantTHERAPIST NEEDED IN COQUITLAM TO JOIN OUR ABA TEAM
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to work with our 3 year old, high functioning autistic son. He is a fun loving, clever, sweet natured, verbal little boy who has been receiving ABA therapy at home for 13 months. He has made significant progress through the dedicated effort of his therapists, consultant and family.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference in a little boy's life. If you interested in working with children and are looking to gain experience in ABA therapy, this is your chance. Experience is not necessary as training will be provided both up front and on an ongoing basis.
Our ABA consultant is Alak Majumdar of Miles of Smiles Educational Services Inc. Alak is a local consultant which provides the added benefit of regular contact each month through overlap training sessions and team meetings.
This is not a posting for a summer job. To date our therapists have all been SFU students who have worked through the summer and school year although being a student is not a prerequisite. We ask for a one year commitment from our son's team members as we believe that consistency is important for him and that given the learning curve in becoming an ABA therapist it takes awhile for him to truly benefit from your skill set.
If you are interested please e-mail us at btefz@telus.net
