BI Needed in East Vancouver (Close to Joyce-Collingwood Skytrain)
Posting on behalf of client.
We are looking for a BI to implement a home-based behaviour intervention program, working with an 11-yr old boy with ASD. Current program focus is on: academic, social communication and self-help skills.
Training and supervision will be provided by a Sarh Dungait BCBA during overlaps and frequent team meetings.
The BI should be available for two sessions per week – including one weekend session. Attendance to monthly team meetings is also required (usually held on Wednesdays).
Compensation will be based on experience.

We are seeking a mature, single female care provider to move into a two bedroom suite located in Victoria (Oak Bay) and provide support to a healthy, active and very sociable 22 year old woman who has autism and intellectual disabilities.
Brief Description of the young woman.
- Loves Michael Bublé, swims like a mermaid, and will beat anyone at Go Fish!
- Has been in an ABA program since the age of three – has a behavioural plan in place under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Attends a community inclusion day program from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday.
- Has good sleep patterns and sleeps well all through the night.
- Regularly spends time with her family.
Care Provider’s Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Reside with the young woman in the lower suite in parents’ residence. Parents would reside upstairs in same residence. Lower suite has separate entrance and has been recently renovated.
- Must be a team player and open to working collaboratively as part of the young woman’s support network maintaining communication with parents and day program.
- Is health conscious, in good health, leads an active life style and likes the outdoors a plus.
- Is neat, tidy, clean, well organized and detail oriented as the young woman responds well to a scheduled day.
- Well-skilled in typical household chores e.g. cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. so she can support the young woman in all aspects of daily living and typical household tasks.
- Support the young woman in accessing her community for evening and weekend activities.
- Learn and adhere to the young woman’s behavioural plan and learning style and programs.
- Has previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities – a background in either educational or medical fields would be an asset.
- Must be safety conscious – ability to obtain First Aid certification and CPR endorsement.
- Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record check.
- Has a current drivers licence – and preferably owns her own vehicle.
Remuneration would be a contracted monthly amount plus subsidized accommodation costs. Position available beginning 2017.

The time has come yet again! We need a new ABA therapist for our team in Vancouver (near Cambie and 20th.)
Our fourteen-year-old daughter is high functioning, verbal, affectionate and entertaining. Her therapy is fascinating, and her progress is consistent. She has been doing ABA for twelve years. We work under the guidance of Kim Kirsch and the Early Autism Project, hence, it is a home-based ABA program, supervised by a well-respected BCBA. Training will be provided by Kim and our current lead.
You need to be fun, responsible, dedicated, and creative. You should have strong play skills, a positive attitude, and lots of energy and patience. You are a good multi-tasker, are organized, encouraging, enthusiastic, and responsible. Previous experience with ABA programs is a plus, but as long as you seem bright, caring, and capable, we are interested. A criminal record check will be obligatory as is an ability to commit to the team for at least one year.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recording data, facilitating playdates, helping with home living skills, supporting basic academic and social skills, and assisting with fine and gross motor challenges.
You would have three sessions a week. Weekday options are would be on: Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays but… eliminating one of the three weekday shifts for one on Sunday may also be an option. (The time for a session on the weekend would be flexible.) During the week sessions run approximately, from 3:15ish to 6:00ish. You would also need to attend a team meeting, held once a month, from 5:00 to 6:30.

We need the support worker to work 4 shifts per week (Monday to Thursday from 7-11 am). Preference will be given to those with ABA experience.
The support worker would be responsible to get our son ready for school in the mornings. This would be from 7-8:30 am. After he has been picked up for school at 8:30 then we would need general help around the house. This would include cleaning, vacuuming and laundry.
Requirements:
· Female
· At least 19 years old
· Cleared criminal record check and references
· Non-smoker
· Fluent in English
· Minimum 1 year commitment, preferably at least 2 years

You will be working under the supervision of BCBA Behavioral Consultant Colby Anderson in an established program, with Nori Harrison-Weiss providing maternity coverage. The program includes monthly team meetings on Monday mornings.
Qualifications: At least 19 years old with some ABA education, and clear criminal record check completed. Strong play skills and quick thinking needed! Experience is preferred, but if you have some ABA education you will be considered.

Our son has just entered Grade 6. We are looking for someone to run one or two 2 hour session a week after school.

BCBA consultant support is provided by Lindsay Parrott and Sara White, however, Julee Bassetto will be providing maternity leave coverage.
