We are looking for a line therapist for a HF fun loving 7 year old boy who loves to learn.
Therapists need to be energetic, enthusiastic and willing to commit to one year.
Our home based ABA program has been running for 2 1/2 years under the excellent direction of Katie Allen of Able Clinic.
Shifts are Tuesday and/or Thursday 3:30-6:30 or 4-7.
Wages are based on experience. No experience necessary (but would prefer). All training is provided. Must be 19 years or older with clear criminal record check. A valid BC drivers license is required with own transportation.

We are looking 30-35hrs/week for the two of them
morning, afternoon and weekend shifts.

-Worked as a lead for over 2 years with 3 children
-Had experience in school settings as a SEA/therapist/preschool assistant (desirable)
-Be available to train over the next 12-24 months beginning March 2008
-have a Bachelors in psychology or related field (education/social work) and must be willing and qualified to pursue a Masters degree.Training will include both class time and field work under the supervision of an ACT approved consultant.

4 year old son who is high functioning Autistic, social and lots of fun to work with! No experience unnecessary, you will be trained in the ABA method Our team is consulted by Katie Allen and Nate Searle with Able clinic Description of duties:
You will be working in the home of the child diagnosed on the autism spectrum, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. During your sessions when you work one-on-one with the child, you will model age-appropriate play, communication, and social skills. Together with the child, you will play with puzzles, sing songs, dance and build blocks, push cars and trains, and anything else that the child enjoys.
You will incorporate specific goals during play and table-work, and track progress on data-sheets at the end of the session. Each session lasts approximately 3 hours, and you will be asked to work 3-5 sessions per week. Excellent play-skills are required. There will also be a brief team meeting twice a month to discuss the childs progress and discuss any concerns that may arise from the program.Qualifications:
-Must be 19 years or older
Experience with small children a must (paid training detailing specific duties is provided). Any experience with special needs children is a definite asset. Applicants with an education in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy are encouraged to apply.
The candidates are required to be self-motivated, extremely reliable, enthusiastic, and possess excellent communication skills. A car and a valid drivers license is a great asset.Location: Maple Ridge are.
