    Toy and Clothes Swap

How about we do some "giving" at the South Surrey ASBC meeting this Thursday. I have two pairs of ski pants and a coat, and two pairs of pajamas (all size 7ish). I'll bring them Thursday.

Feel free to bring clothes or toys to pass on to another fellow parents. Anything left over can be given to Goodwill.

TYLER STILL NEEDS A NEW FRIEND(S)
Tyler is a happy and bright 3.5 year old who needs another person to join his team to play games and other fun stuff! The right applicant will be outgoing, energetic and have a very positive attitude.
We are looking for people to do either of the following:
    – take Tyler to drop-in playgroups on Wed and Thurs afternoons; or,
    – do a minimum of 2-3 sessions of ABA therapy per week at 2-3 hours each.
The first is a more casual position, more out of the home. The second would be more structured and would take place at his home.
Training will be provided for the right individual.
Ty's consultant is Bohdanna and he thinks she's just great!
A current criminal record check is required.
Please email your resume and references to lisajh@telus.net.

** Next in the North Shore ASBC Parents' Lecture Series **

This month's talk will be open to PARENTS ONLY. Due to parent input, and the availability of an experienced speaker, we are fortunate to be able to offer you our next topic: "Updating your IEP – tips from the field".

We're part way through the school year, and before you round the corner into a new term, it's a great time to review your child's IEP and look at how to keep it up-to-date. Our speaker is a fellow parent who will use his knowledge and personal experience to illustrate some helpful suggestions on this topic.

We will also allow some time for a discussion of the Adapted vs. Modified curriculum and what parents should know about this.

    Date: Tuesday, December 11, 2007
    Time: 7 pm – 9 pm
Location: West Vancouver Memorial Library – Peters Room

The library is at 1950 Marine Drive in West Van. (between 19th and 20th Streets), easily accessible via Highway #1 Upper Levels), taking either the 15th Street or 20th St. exits.

Once again, this session is restricted to PARENTS/GUARDIANS ONLY.

    Donations are greatly appreciated.
    Coffee/Tea and snacks provided.

Please RSVP to Andrea at andreafinch@shaw.ca or to Eva at 604-218-3298

Looking forward to seeing you there!
