Hello and Happy New Year to all,
I am looking to hire a behavioural consultant for my son and really want to know who I should go for. I believe the best thing is to ask for your opinions if you think your consultant is a great one.
My previous consultant was Lisa Wincz, she left the team after 2.5 years and we switched to Michele Shilvock. Michele quit abruptly after less than a year started with us and I was so overwhelmed with it and I did not have a behavioural consultant since then.
It's not easy having to hold a team of people working with my son and doing a full time job myself but I CAN NOT leave him there without therapy. I very appreciate if you could spend some time to give me an email ( it will be great if you could include your phone number and the best time for me to call you) with your advice which consultant I should go for.
I want to hire a consultant who has programs that are suitable for older children. My son has speech and language delay as well as many autistic children do but he does not have inappropriate behaviours. He is very well compliant and eager to learn new things. I look forward to hear from you all, your opinions about the consultants you know, good or bad.
Please email me at tnkaccount@yahoo.com

Immediate opening in White Rock area …
Seeking a playful, fun-loving therapist to join our fantastic and dedicated White Rock area team. Our 4 year-old son is fun-loving, bright, verbal, and enthusiastic about his program. He is a fast learner, and has a great sense of humour! We are fortunate to have local consultant, Liana Maione, providing an intensive model of supervision to our son's program, so this would be a great opportunity for a therapist who welcomes frequent overlaps and opportunities to further develop his or her skills.
We currently have various openings throughout the week. Therapists will run 3-hour sessions, with program goals interspersed and included in play activities. Shifts may also include peer sessions or community outings. A solid grasp of the principles of ABA is required. Mandatory biweekly team meetings are currently scheduled for Wednesday evenings.
You must be at least 19 years old, and willing to submit to a Criminal Record Check. We are looking for a minimum commitment of one year. If interested, please e-mail a resume, references and availability, to mummyx2@hotmail.com . Wages will depend on your experience.
