    I have a computer system for sale that has some softwares for speech, it has touch screen monitor that helped a lot when our daughter could not use mouse. It act as a great therapy tool. If you want more information, please write back at rjain@telus.net

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
    You must be 19 years of age or older.

    Preference will be given to those who have previous experience working with children.(with or without Special Needs)

    Able to travel to N. Delta.

    Be willing to have or get a Criminal Record Check

    This is a part-time position. Hours may vary from 6-10 hrs/week. Rate of pay depending on experience.

    Monthly team meeting are mandatory. On every 2nd Tuesdays of each month.

    Our Behaviour Consultant is Alak Majumdar, M.A., B.Ed., M.Ed. Local Consultant is a great opportunity for ongoing training and overlaps. (overlaps will happen on Tuesdays after all training is complete.)
    Training will be provided to all applicants who are hired.

    ~~~~Need a Therapist in East Burnaby~~~~

    We are looking for another therapist to join our awesome team. Our daughter is 16 years old and has been in therapy for 2.5 years. We still have the same therapists that we started with two and a half years ago but need to add another therapist as we have added more shifts to her program. We are mostly working on academics, but also some social and life skills.

    -Experience working with autistic children an asset although not essential as training will be provided.
    -energetic and fun individual that is good with children.
    -Is able to apply good judgement and problem solving skills.
    -Is able to muti task.
    -Is able to work independently, is committed and reliable.
    Need to fill a couple of afternoon shifts (12:30ish – 3:30ish). Team meetings are once a month.

    This is a good opportunity to expand your experience and work with an older child.

    Behavioural Interventionists Wanted One year commitment required, part-time. We are looking for a fun, energetic person to work with our
    4 year old son who is high functioning Autistic, social and lots of fun to work with! No experience unnecessary, you will be trained in the ABA method Our team is consulted by Katie Allen and Nate Searle with Able clinic Description of duties:
    You will be working in the home of the child diagnosed on the autism spectrum, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. During your sessions when you work one-on-one with the child, you will model age-appropriate play, communication, and social skills. Together with the child, you will play with puzzles, sing songs, dance and build blocks, push cars and trains, and anything else that the child enjoys.
    You will incorporate specific goals during play and table-work, and track progress on data-sheets at the end of the session. Each session lasts approximately 3 hours, and you will be asked to work 3-5 sessions per week. Excellent play-skills are required. There will also be a brief team meeting twice a month to discuss the childs progress and discuss any concerns that may arise from the program.

    Qualifications:
    -Must be 19 years or older
    Experience with small children a must (paid training detailing specific duties is provided). Any experience with special needs children is a definite asset. Applicants with an education in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy are encouraged to apply.
    The candidates are required to be self-motivated, extremely reliable, enthusiastic, and possess excellent communication skills. A car and a valid drivers license is a great asset.
