** FRIENDLY REMINDER – Tax talk next Tuesday **

The next North Shore ASBC Lecture is: "Everything you wanted to know
about Autism and Taxes, but forgot to ask."

The North Shore Parent Support group of the ASBC will welcome Mike
Campagne, a Certified Financial Planner who works with families of
disabled children and their tax issues. Ideal for families dealing
with Revenue Canada for the first time since receiving the diagnosis
and funding, but also a good opportunity to bring general tax
questions and potentially to learn new approaches.

Date: Tuesday, January 22, 2008
Time: 7 pm – 9 pm
Location: West Vancouver Memorial Library – Peters Room

The library is at 1950 Marine Drive in West Van. (between 19th and
20th Streets), easily accessible via Highway #1 Upper Levels), taking
either the 15th Street or 20th St. exits.

To work with a 5 yr. old boy diagnosed with Autism. We are currently looking for new Tutors to join our team. Experience with Autistic children and/or ABA preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.

Requirements:
– 19 yrs. or older. (Student/graduate)
– Part-time position 5-9 hours per week
– 2 days minimum per week
– Must have or be willing to get a criminal record check
– Able to travel to N. Delta for in home sessions and monthly meetings
– Quick learner and thinker
– Good problem solving skills
– Playskills and fun to be with. (For the child)

I already contacted them , but unfortunetly, they don' t acept any new client.I know that, there so many consultant out there , but not many good one. As my son have difficulty behavior some time , so I really need a good consultant , who is good with behavior kid. My son is low fungtioning. Just a reminder, FEAT BC is hosting a Basic Theory workshop on January 26th, from 10-4pm.

Due to the nature of the workshop, seating is limited. This will allow us to provide 1:1 instruction, feedback and allow for optimal learning conditions.

We are looking for an experienced lead-therapist to lead our team of therapists. We require minimum 3 years experience as therapist in ABA and minimum one year experience as a lead with recommendation letters from 2 consultants and references from families you are working with currently. Our team comprises of 3-4 therapists including one at pre-school. Our program is home based and started in June 2006. Our son is 3 and half years old. He is high functioning, social and loads of fun to work with! Responsibilities include but not limited to running sessions on own, arranging team meetings bi-weekly, attending the consult meetings and provide report to the consultant, overlapping therapists and providing feedback to therapists and parents, training and recruiting new therapists, overseeing data recorded and their completeness, probing new targets, providing list of material needed for programs and coaching the team. We require at least one year commitment. Pay is negotiable and based on experience and performance.

Our team is consulted by Liana Maione, a local consultant which is a great opportunity for those who welcome frequent overlaps and opportunities to further develop their skills.
