Hi Veronica
In 2006, I receivered a letter from MCF asking that ,we have to provide them a receipt of my son workshop from the year of 2005, which I already did ( I senT them a schedule B every 3 months ). But however, I send them a copy again , because they delayded my son funding. After sending the copy , I waited another 3 weeks without a funding . I called them to ask about it, they told me that , because my consultant is from oversea , so they don't cover the travel cost. It mean I can' T claim the cost for travel of my consultant of my son'S fund, which I always done before , and I never have any problem. But this time , they just give me a hash. They told me , because of the travel for my son' consultant is not approved, therefore , I still have moneys left for my son's therapy, so they didn' t give me a cheque for 2 months, mean after deducted I have only $340 for 3 months. I was so angry, because this is the second time that they delayded my cheque. One time before ,Ididn' t get a cheque after one month late.(Don't they understand that, we have to pay our therapy to keep the treatment contrinue?). However, I have to borrowed my friend's money to paid for my therapist, to keep them stay. This time , It happened again, I Could not stand it anymore, so I called them and ask to talked to the superviser and told her that , I always followed the rule. I summited all the receipt, invoice very clearly, and I nver have any prolem before until now. I told her that,if you guys said that, you not approve for travel cost for consultant from oversea, in that case , you should send us a letter or a notice to let us know ahead of time, not just doing this crap thing, because , I have to work full time , and I have to take care of my child and his team program, and most important thing is , we need to pay our therapist on time to keep them stay. After talking to her, she told me to write her a letter , so she will give it to her boss to see if they can do anything for me. Then I did email the leter to them to explain about the cost for my consultant' cost. Finally, after almost another 2 weeks , I received a cheque, which I supose to got it 2 months ealier.Since , I just not bother to send them a schedule B every 3 month anymore . I just pile up and send them at one time. AND guess what? I receive the funding on time since. What is ricdiculous . I just want to share my exprience, so you know that, you are not the only one. We always have to fight for our child for every little things.TAKE CARE!January 24, 2008 at 3:22 pm #10122Leah MumfordParticipantI am posting this for another family.

I am looking for a bright, outgoing, playful and creative person(s) to work with my delightful four year old son who has recently been diagnosed with Aspergerâs.
He is very high functioning, absolutely adorable, enthusiastic, has a great sense of humor, and is a lot of fun to be with.

Although training is provided and experience is not considered necessary, it would be my preference to have someone who has had some experience with children that are on the spectrum.
