4 year old son who is high functioning Autistic, social and lots of fun to work with! No experience unnecessary, you will be trained in the ABA method Our team is consulted by Katie Allen and Nate Searle with Able clinic Description of duties:
You will be working in the home of the child diagnosed on the autism spectrum, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. During your sessions when you work one-on-one with the child, you will model age-appropriate play, communication, and social skills. Together with the child, you will play with puzzles, sing songs, dance and build blocks, push cars and trains, and anything else that the child enjoys.
You will incorporate specific goals during play and table-work, and track progress on data-sheets at the end of the session. Each session lasts approximately 3 hours, and you will be asked to work 3-5 sessions per week. Excellent play-skills are required. There will also be a brief team meeting twice a month to discuss the childs progress and discuss any concerns that may arise from the program.Qualifications:
-Must be 19 years or older
Experience with small children a must (paid training detailing specific duties is provided). Any experience with special needs children is a definite asset. Applicants with an education in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy are encouraged to apply.
The candidates are required to be self-motivated, extremely reliable, enthusiastic, and possess excellent communication skills. A car and a valid drivers license is a great asset.Location: Maple Ridge are.

One member of our team is unexpectedly leaving and we are in need of a replacement. My son is 4 yrs old, verbal, and lots of fun to play with. He is making lots of progress and continues to thrive. We are working mainly on social skills and play skills, getting him ready for kindergarten. Our consultant is Bernadette Marzo, working under the guidance of Glen Davies of the ABLE Developmental Clinic.
Experience is great, but training will be provided. You must be 19 yrs or older and have a current clear criminal record check.

For the Andrea Sharpe Social Thinking talk, the room in the West Van. Library has been changed to the MUSTO ROOM. (This matters because it is at the opposite end of the library and is smaller). We are looking for line therapists for our ABA home therapy team for our 6 year old son. He is high-functioning autistic, very smart, has a great sense of humour and likes people who have fun while they work. Minimum 2 shifts per week, plus mandatory bi-weekly team meeting (approximately 6-9 hours per week). A minimum one year commitment is required. Criminal records check is necessary.
Our behaviour consultant is Kathryn Theroux from Able Developmental Clinic.
