Because of scheduling mismatches with applicants we're still looking for an experienced lead to work with our six-year old son. He's in Grade 1 and doing really well academically. He enjoys our ABA program, which focuses on associative memory and social interactions/peer play. We're looking for lead who can work two shifts a week and help manage the program and team. *ABA THERAPIST(S) NEEDED IN NORTH VANCOUVER**

Our family is eagerly looking for therapists (tutors), both senior and junior, to join our home based ABA program that we have running for our very charming and playful, high functioning 3 year old son.

Previous experience working with children with Autism would be fantastic, but is not essential. Individuals interested in psychology, education, speech pathology or any other career involving children are welcome.

We are guided on this journey by our Consultant, the very capable and passionate, Kathryn Theroux from the Able Clinic.

This is a great opportunity to receive training and hands on experience in ABA therapy with minimal initial qualifications. What you should have is lots of energy and patience, strong play skills, a positive attitude and good multi-tasking abilities. Enthusiam, dedication, reliability, an open mind and a willingness to learn are most desirable.

As a therapist you need to be able to commit to: two or three, 3 hour shifts each week, in addition to attending bi-weekly team meetings.

Salary is negotiable and is based on experience; only apply if you are a natural at relating to children. We will ask that you make a one-year commitment to the team and as a matter of course, we will require a criminal record check.

We are located 5 minutes from the Second Narrows bridge, on a bus route, in the Windsor Park area of North Vancouver.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic tutor/therapist for a 16 year old student with autism, who has been on an ABA program (Applied behavior Analysis) since the age of five.

Position would involve tutoring grade 11 academics as well as other ABA behavioural protocols, and physical activities.

Our consultant and therapist will provide all behaviour protocol training. No previous experience necessary, but we do ask for is enthusiasm and dedication, and a minimum commitment of one year.

Currently we are looking for 2 three hour shifts on Tuesday and Thursday. There is a 3 hour meeting with our consultant every six weeks.

Sessions are after school (4-7pm) in Richmond.

Vehicle is an asset.

I know everyone is busy with school and programs and the election, and life, but I have a question for fellow parents. My daughter is in school in Vancouver and somehow the school has decided that she will NOT be receiving full-time assistance. The school claims that they don’t have enough SSW help. Our daughter is high functioning but her gross and fine motor skills are VERY behind, and there really is no way she can get through the year without help. It’s crazy.
