We are seeking an ABA instructor for a part time position in Surrey. The role involves one to one support of a 12-year-old boy with autism under the direction of Sharon Baxter. The instructor will provide support to participate in programs such as life skills development, daily living activities and community support in social and recreational activities. We are looking for someone who is energetic and outgoing and individuals that are comfortable facilitating interactions in the community.
Candidates should possess a strong desire and aptitude for working with children and youth. You must be self-motivated, highly committed, reliable and show initiative. The ability to model appropriate social behaviour in all environments is also a necessity.
Those with experience and those new to the field will be considered. All training will be provided. Both male and female applicants are encouraged to apply.

My name is Lisa and I am an EA in Mission where I work one on one with a 10 yr old girl with Autism, as well, I work one night a week with a 6 yr old boy with Autism on Social skills/social outings. I have some experience working with children with visual impairments and am currently taking a Braille course.
My past work history includes 6 years of daycare and some ABA training and have worked on an ABA team.
My schedule in August is very flexable and once school starts in September, I will be available evenings and possibly weekends. I would be interested in doing some respite or social outings with children.

Interventionists will be working with our 3 year-old boy – happy and energetic.
Your sessions would be 1.5 to 2 hours per day, at least twice a week ; including bi-weekly team meetings. Team meetings are mandatory. 12 months commitment required.Time : 8:30-10:30/ 10:30-12:30/ or 5:30-7:00. You may choose any days from these times. It is a great opportunity for students pursuing courses and a career in psychology, special education, etc.
Experience is an asset but not needed as training will be provided. Job starts in August.As much as you can make a difference in a child's life, he/she can also make the same in yours.

Our family is eagerly looking for therapists (tutors), both senior and junior, to join our home based ABA program that we have running for our very charming and playful, high functioning 4 year old son.
Previous experience working with children with Autism would be fantastic, but is not essential. Individuals interested in psychology, education, speech pathology or any other career involving children are welcome.
We are guided on this journey by our Consultant, the very capable and passionate, Kathryn Theroux from the Able Clinic.
This is a great opportunity to receive training and hands on experience in ABA therapy with minimal initial qualifications. What you should have is lots of energy and patience, strong play skills, a positive attitude and good multi-tasking abilities. Enthusiam, dedication, reliability, an open mind and a willingness to learn are most desirable.
As a therapist you need to be able to commit to: two or three, 3 hour shifts each week, in addition to attending bi-weekly team meetings.
Salary is negotiable and is based on experience; only apply if you are a natural at relating to children. We will ask that you make a one-year commitment to the team and as a matter of course, we will require a criminal record check.
We are located 5 minutes from the Second Narrows bridge, on a bus route, in the Windsor Park area of North Vancouver.

We are looking to hire a full time ABA trained aide to work together with our established home team, and the Abbotsford School District. Our son is entering Grade 3 this fall, and requires assistance in facilitated peer play and some academics. This is a 4-5 month full time position with the district, with an opportunity to continue on in January 2010 with the home program already in place.
Our consultant Katie Allen has been working with us for 3 1/2 years. We have a team that will provide ongoing supervision and training, so this will be a fantastic opportunity for applicants to further develop ABA skills.
Applicants with early childhood education or ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) are preferred, but we will also consider well motivated individuals.
