A member of my home team wants to find a second client. She has been trained by Dr. Sara White and has worked for me for more than a year. She is in second year university, with the goal of becoming an SLP.

She is young but very conscientious. During the last winter, she continued coming to work when everyone else gave up trying to travel in the snow.

She lives near Lougheed Mall. This term she is available on Mondays and Wednesdays after school and all day Saturday.

If you’re interested, please let her know who your consultant is. Her email address is:

My name is Karen, and I am currently looking for 6-12 hours a week providing behaviour intervention for a family living in Vancouver. My preference would be for the VGH/Mount Pleasant area, but am more than willing to explore other options. I have 3 years experience providing 1:1 ABA therapy with both children and adults on the Autism Spectrum and I have also developed and implemented programs independently. I am an energetic, creative and self-motivated person who is reliable and passionate about this field. I am confident in my abilities as a BI and feel that I would be an excellent asset to your team.

Please email me at k.dorey@gmail.com and I will forward you my resume.

Wanted: M or F, experienced ABA therapists to work weekend shifts. Also auxiliaries to fill in for other team members' slots during the week in case of illness, etc.

The client/student is a large (6 ft., 175lb) young male. Very nice kid but prone to aggression and other difficult behaviours at times, which are the focus of the intervention. North Shore near Park Royal. Clean criminal & driving record checks are required.

You must attend all (paid) team mtgs/consults, which happen once a month during the week. Facility in English language (written and spoken) is a must. We are looking for long-term commitment. Wage commensurate with experience.

Submit resume with cover letter c/o this ad.

    Therapist needed in Victoria

A Victoria-based family requires a therapist to work with their 9 year old son with high-functioning autism. Our ABA program focuses on social-thinking and skill based foundations for success in school and peer-related play. This is a very advanced student in programming. He is very fun and adorable.

Our consultant is: Kathryn Theroux of Able Dev. Clinic.

The successful candidate will have some experience but training is offered to an individual with enthusiasm and one who has an interest in school-based activities. Therapists need to commit to working 2 days a week with our son and 4 days a month to meeting with school-based assistant to meet all global needs.

Interested therapists should contact us via email: louwrier@shaw.ca. Please state "therapist position" in your cover line.

We need a dedicated, enthusiastic, and creative person to join our home-based ABA program.  If you have an interest in psychology, education, or children the position may be ideal for you.

Our seven-year-old daughter is high on the spectrum, has been receiving ABA therapy for five years now, is verbal, affectionate, and fun, and makes a lot of progress.  You will help her learn, communicate and create. There is always a lot of laughter involved in her sessions.

Applicants should play well, be positive, be able to come up with cool ideas, multi-task, and communicate well with co-workers and parents. If you know a language other than English, that's a plus as it motivates and charms our child.

As a therapist, you need to be able to commit to two 3-hour-shifts a week, plus attend biweekly team progress meetings on Thursdays in the late afternoon/early evening.  Salary is negotiable and is based on experience.  A current criminal record check will be required.

You should be an all-around great person.
We live in Vancouver in Mount Pleasant.
    Please e-mail resumes to scissorhappy@shaw.ca

    Thanks Very Much,

    {Cathy}
