ABA Therapists Needed for Two Teams!
Would you like to make a difference in the lives of our children?! We have two little ones waiting for you to call!
We are currently in the process of establishing two ABA programs in our SURREY home and are in need of Line Therapists to work with our 5-year-old son and our 3-year-old daughter with Autism. Therapists will have the opportunity to work on one or both teams, depending on availability and scheduling. Ideally, therapists can work a minimum of three sessions per week – and must attend monthly team meetings.
Currently, our schedule is quite open so hours are flexible!
No experience is necessary. Pay is commensurate with experience. These positions will appeal to those who welcome frequent overlaps to fine tune their skills under the guidance of our ABA consultant, Liana Maione, BCBA, and our Program Supervisor, Leah Mumford.
Applicants must:
be responsible, energetic, and enthusiastic
be at least 19 years old
have a clear criminal record check
have reliable transportation
make a minimum 12 month commitmentPlease send resumes to the following email address: robothamamy97@gmail.com or phone Amy at 604-543-3734 for more information.

Friday, November 13th, 2009
12:00 Noon
Premier Gordon Campbells Constituency Office
3615 West 4th Ave
Vancouver, BCWhy should you attend?
The recent tragic deaths of two Canadian children with autism, killed at the hands of their own parents, is a wake up call! The status quo is putting the health of children and their very lives in jeopardy.
Septembers announcement by the Ministry of Children and Family Development has shown that our government is not concerned about the rights and needs of some of its most vulnerable citizens.
No legislation or mandate exists to deliver health care to children with autism or to protect and enshrine their right to their medically necessary treatment. What little individualized funding being provided now is in jeopardy of being taken away.
Autism is an epidemic! According to the Center for Disease Control, it now affects one in every 100 children in North America.
It is time for our provincial government to recognize its responsibility to act and to demonstrate leadership for the rest of Canada!
Who should attend?
-parents, grandparents, friends, consultants, therapists, anyone who is concerned about this injustice to our children. We urge you all to attend this rally!
Featured Speakers will include:
Jean Lewis Vancouver parent, board member, Medicare for Autism Now!
Bev Sharpe Vancouver parent, board member, Families for Early Autism Treatment
Louise Witt Surrey parent, spokesperson, Families for Early Autism Treatment(To RSVP or for more information email abarocks@gmail.com )
