December 1, 2009 at 3:32 am #10748Michael AyotteParticipantHello, I am looking for an ABA Therapist to work with my beautiful 9-year old Autistic son Marley on alternating weekends commencing January 2, 2010. You would be working with a team to provide intensive, one-on-one therapy for Marley. Experience working with autistic children would be helpful but is not required. All training will be provided by Dr. Sara White PhD, BCBA, a leader in her field. Therapy will take place in my home located in Vancouver. Therapists should be able to commit to 2 – 3 hour sessions every other weekend starting on December 5/6 for a weekend training session. Therapists will be paid based on their experience.
These positions will appeal particularly to people with an interest in education, special education, psychology, clinical therapy, and speech/language pathology. It is fabulously rewarding to see a young child's world expand and to know that you are helping that child to participate fully in his environment.
Marley's sunny disposition and endearing nature will be sure to charm you!
If you are interested, please send your response and C.V. to michael@lifeonpurposecoaching.ca or phone Michael at 604-812-6451.

November 30, 2009 at 8:35 am #10750Sandy ToewsMemberI am not sure if anyone is looking for a BI, but I have a amazing BI that works with my son and she will be taking on more clients in the next month or two. Her name is Melissa Driessen, and I would highly recommend her to anyone! I believe she is only taking on clients in Chilliwack, abbotsford, and mission.
Her email is melissadriessen@astepforwardautism.com
and she has a website too, it is http://www.astepforwardautism.comNovember 29, 2009 at 9:29 pm #10751Andrea FinchParticipant** Info Wanted re: Video Technology **
Hi everyone – we are looking for advice from parents or anyone else who can recommend a video sytstem that is good for both recording our at-home ABA sessions and sending video footage to others for review. The current machine we have is borrowed, older and requires the viewer to have the entire machine to be able to see the tape. Also wondering if anyone has tried renting? I hope it goes without saying that while we want something that works, we'd like the least expensive option.
Anyone with input, please e-mail me privately at andreafinch@shaw.ca with "Video info." in the Subject line.
Thanks all!
