We are looking for a dedicated and energetic ABA therapist to provide one-on-one preschool support to our four year old daughter, who is fun, playful and eager to learn. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference and help prepare a little girl for Kindergarten in Surrey in 2012. It is also an opportunity to receive training on a team of experienced therapists under the direction of Dr Sara White and Theresa Tournemille.
The ideal candidate will be someone who:
– has lots of energy and excellent play skills
– has previous experience working with children, preferably on an ABA team
– in addition to up to five afternoons in the preschool setting, is able to commit to at least one shift per week on the home team and attend monthly team meetings
– is reliable and has a strong work ethic

She has lots of fears and anxiety's about doing this, I have tried many times, but it makes me anxious when she is like this. We like the right person to have 1-2 years experience working with autistic and adhd childern, Our daughter is high functioning and loves to talk, she is very social and likes to have fun.

We are a family looking for one to two therapists to join our developing team and work with our daughter who was recently diagnosed as on the autism spectrum. She is 2.5 years old; very sociable, bright, and emotive; and currently non-verbal.
Our consultant is local and creates all the programs for us and provides ongoing supervision and training, so this would be a great opportunity for applicants who welcome frequent overlaps and opportunities to further develop their skills. Therapy is to be play-based and naturalistic, but rooted in ABA.
Applicants with early child education or ABA experience are preferred but we WILL also consider applicants who work well with young children, are enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn. You must be dependable and willing to commit to six months to start. Applicants must be minimum 19yrs of age and be willing to submit to a criminal background check. Attendance at bi-weekly team meetings will also be required. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.

My son is high functioning autistic, he is 8 years old and fully integrated in the classroom and follows the normal curriculum. He need support academically. I would like someone who has completed the ABA support program and would prefer someone who has some experience working with a consultant. Program is directed by Kathryn Theroux, Able Dev. Clinic.
This is position will consist of 2, three hour shifts/week (with the possibility of more in the future).
Behavior Intervention involves carrying out a specific plan created to develop and enhance communication, academic and play skills, using specific teaching methods, as well as taking and recording data.
*Previous ABA experience is helpful as well an anyone with previous SEA/EA/ABA assistant experience. However, a willingness to learn, dependability and a positive, energetic personality are the most important elements any applicant can bring to a team.
Applicants must provide a current and clear criminal record check. You must be willing make a one-year commitment to 2-3 shifts per week. You will also be expected to attend monthly, 2-hour team meetings. Please do not apply if you cannot make this commitment.
