We are looking for a special needs assistant, play therapist, or ECE for our 5yr old daughter. Our daughter was diagnosed with autism 3 years ago, and has received intensive therapy with significant progress since then. We are looking for somebody capable of running 1:1 play dates in our home, and do some play therapy. The right candidate would accompany her to Kindergarten next Fall half time. We are needing somebody who is highly skilled and confident at interacting with children (both special needs and typically developing). The main parts of your job will be to actively facilitate social interactions between our daughter and her typically developing peers, teach play skills, and promote language. You must have a fun yet assertive personality, and a strong dedication to use every opportunity possible to positively impact our daughters' future. You will need to have great attention to detail and be quick to not miss interaction opportunities. Our daughter is currently in an ABA program, so a general understanding of ABA is an asset. You will be trained on the principals of ABA on the job, and will receive guidance from our high level Consultant. You must be willing to accept feedback, and be able to adjust quickly.
Your pay will be determined by your experience, but more importantly your ability. Please respond to smurfette200@gmail.com
