We are looking for a new member to join our well established ABA team under the direction of Behavioral Consultant Sharon Baxter. You would be supporting a lower functioning 19 year old male with Autism as well as Mitochondrial disease. You would need to commit to 2 – 3 hour shifts per week/ and or weekend as well as one team meeting per month. He will be finishing up High school mid June so there will be lots of additional day time hours starting then which could also lead into some additional extended support hours in September. Program focuses mainly on communication skills, life and leisure skills and building upon skills in the community. Looking for an energetic, dedicated team player. Information Hour
Thinking about purchasing an iDevice for an individual with autism? Take a look at the benefits and limitations of these devices. Help decide which iDevice is the best fit; iTouch, iPhone or an iPad. Watch demonstrations and discuss how the devices and apps can assist and generalize learning.
This hour includes an overview of additional costs and considerations for getting started as well as long term use of the device.

This information session will benefit parents as well as professionals who are guiding families and looking to incorporate these devices into their programming.

Communication Apps
There are several apps that transform an iDevice into an augmentative communication device. Take a look at two of the more comprehensive programs; Touch Chat and Proloque2Go then jump into to setting up the app.

This workshop will benefit parents and professionals, including BIs, who assist families in setting up communication systems.
Bring your iDevice with installed app (not required).

Setting up your iDevice including safety and accessibility features.
An overview of how to find apps, which ones to purchase and my recommended apps.
This workshop is designed for parents and professionals that work with learners who:
• Would benefit from visual schedules & social stories
• Are at the pre-k to grade 2 level in the areas of
• reading and writing
• math and numeracy
• leisure skills

I am currently pursuing further education in this field at Douglas College, taking the Behaviour Intervention Citation (Autism Specialty) program. I am available Thursdays from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and possibly Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm, excluding long weekends. Tonight's Tax Talk will take place at 1630 154th Street. This is in a condo complex called Carlton Court. The building is on the North East corner of 16th Ave and 154th Street (or Best on the White Rock side). There is limited parking, so try to carpool if possible. Parking is available on 16A Avenue in the 15400 block (east) and 17th Ave in the 15300 block (west). BE CAREFUL of "no parking" and 1 hour limit parking signs and fire hydrants.
They love to ticket here because it's close to Peace Arch Hospital.

Come to the front entrance of the Condo and Nancy will let you in.
