Unique 13 Month Opportunity in Europe for Bilingual Tutor/Applied Behavioural Analyst (ABA) Therapist
We are a West Vancouver family with 4 children, including a lovely 12 year old autistic boy. We are looking for a french speaking tutor/applied behavioural analyst (aba) therapist to join us in the South of France (Provence) for 13 months beginning July 15, 2012. We will be living in a beautiful area within the Luberon on an olive orchard near some great villages but we will be travelling throughout Europe. If you are interested in this wonderful life experience, we will train you as an autism therapist and pay all living and family travel expenses plus $1,200 per month. Our preference would be for a young, energetic person who loves children and has an interest in education and behavioural science.
All training will be provided by Courtney Phillips working under Dr. Sara White. No previous experience necessary.
Specific Details:
– Ideally the candidate is bilingual.
– Assist with homeschooling 11 year old girl going into grade 6, and 10 year old boy going into grade 5. My husband and I also plan working with them on certain subjects. (Our 5 year old will be attending school in the village).
– Assist with daily routines with my 12 year old non-verbal autistic son using aba therapy. We will provide all training prior to departure from our consultant and other team members at our house in West Vancouver.
– Current drivers license.
– Leave for France July 15 2012, training would start before hand.
– All living expenses and associated travel costs will be covered plus CAD 1,200 p/m.This is a unique opportunity to work and travel Europe at the same time.

I am an ABA Support Worker in the Surrey School district who is looking for a new family. The kiddo I work with currently(and for the last 3 years) is moving districts in the summer, so if you have a child who is going to be attending a surrey school in September 2012 and would like an AMAZING ABA Support Worker to aid him or her, please contact me.
FYI for those of you who dont know, the surrey school district will pay for 15 hours of training on a new ABA program. I would prefer the Cloverdale/Sullivan area, but I am willing to travel further for the right family!
I am also available after school 2-3 days a week to join a new team. I've been doing ABA for 5 years!

We are looking for an individual who knows how to have fun with kids, take instruction while teaching and can easily multi task. An ability to play and be creative is a must and experience working as a BI would be a great asset, but is not required. Training will be provided by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
We have several days/times available so please let me know what your availability is. Pay will be based on experience.

This is an exciting learning opportunity for anyone interested in learning ABA. The home-based program is run under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant and an intern. This work is highly rewarding and excellent experience for students wishing to pursue a career in psychology, special education, speech & language pathology, or working in a school as an ABA SEA and other related fields.
We are looking for a dedicated person who knows how to have fun with kids and is eager to learn on the job. Being silly and fun is part of the job, as this little guy is full of energy and is eager to learn from you! Most important is that you must have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, a high level of energy and must also be great at play. This is a challenging, and rewarding position and you WILL BE making a difference in his life.
Our sessions will run Monday to Saturday mornings. The sessions will run 2 – 2.5 hours starting at 9am ideally, and we ask you to commit to at least 2 sessions a week. Plus one monthly team-meeting.

You would be supporting a lower functioning 19 year old male with Autism as well as Mitochondrial disease. You would need to commit to 2 3 hour shifts per week/ and or weekend as well as one team meeting per month. He will be finishing up High school mid June so there will be lots of additional day time hours starting then which could also lead into some additional extended support hours in September. Program focuses mainly on communication skills, life and leisure skills and building upon skills in the community. Looking for an energetic, dedicated team player. Shifts will include some academic, some life skills, and recreation components. Vehicle, an asset. Regular consults with behavioral consultant is every six weeks, and attendance is mandatory.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a young man who has been in an ABA program for the last 14 years.

An outstanding opportunity to work in the field of ABA and behaviour intervention with youth diagnosed with autism. Three ABA Teaching Homes have been set up for youth diagnosed with autism, supported by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA's) from Canada and the US. This is an excellent opportunity to work with youth, implementing individualized programs and behaviour management systems. Excellent training and supervision will be provided.
The students being supported in these homes are active, and as part of their behaviour management, staff will be required to participate with them in home and community based recreational activities. Therefore, it is essential that applicants are in good physical condition and can participate in these activities. Standard checks and certificates will be required for the successful applicant.
We are currently recruiting male applicants for casual/auxiliary positions in our Surrey location. Staff will be required to work a minimum of two shifts per month and attend all team meetings and consults.
