MemberOur family is looking for a full-time ABA SW for our son entering into grade one at a great school in South Surrey. Our son is a high-functioning, bright, fun-loving, and imaginative boy. We are looking for someone with 1000 hours of ABA experience (or close). We would like the ABA SW to also be involved in our home ABA team and attend our monthly team meetings. This is a good oportunity to work with a positive and supportive family, and a great team from Harmony House.
We are looking for a positive, energetic, and creative person who loves to facilitate play. The right candidate would also be dedicated professional who enjoys collaborating with a team. If interested please reply with a cover letter and resume.

ParticipantSummer Support Workers
I put out a posting a few days ago with out being careful about it's wording. The Surrey Association for Community Living (SACL) is hiring day camp staff for the summer. I wanted to encourage BIs to apply as they do recognize the need for people who have ABA training, HOWEVER, ABA training is not a guarantee for a position. SACL goes through a hiring process with many applicants. SACL will be hiring Summer Support workers for children with a variety of disabilities, they are not "ABA Support Workers" like what we have in the Surrey School district. So, this is not an ABA specific job.
Also, I would like to clarify that when someone gets hired to do the day camps, they work in the Surrey Parks and Rec camps supporting children with disabilities for a SEVEN WEEK period. If your child is attending a camp with aide support from SACL, the BI MIGHT be able to work with your child (for up to two weeks). But the BI will be working with other children, possibly not children who do ABA programs, throughout the rest of the summer.
This also means the BI would not be available to your own team during summer camp hours.
I apologize for my previous post which was quite misleading.

ParticipantSurrey Association for Community Living is willing to hire an ABA person to work with kids in the summer camps. If you have signed up your child for a Surrey Day camp, encourage one of your therapists to get hired and voila! you will have ABA during summer camps. Resumes can be sent to Kelly McCafferty at kmccafferty (at ) commliv.com.
Kelly is interviewing right now, so it is important to apply right away.

ParticipantTherapist Available for summer In White Rock
One of my awesome therapists has a daughter, Chelsea, who would like to get ABA training before going to UNBC in Prince George in September. Chelsea has experience as a swim coach, so once trained this could be an awesome opportunity for getting your child to learn how to swim.
Chelsea recognizes that she is not available for long, so she is willing to train for FREE. You can then pay her once she is trained. Also, it is likely that she will return to South Surrey to work in the summers for years to come.
If interested, please e-mail her at
chelsea.m.r@gmail.com
and she'll send you her resume. -
