    Hello,

With a growing list of available iPad apps, can anyone suggest a few that they had experience with, which might be helpful for a mild PDD-NOS child? Any feedback is much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Looking to hire behavioural interventionists!

This is an excellent opportunity for energetic, caring, and patient individuals who want to be involved in changing the life of a 4-year old boy! He was recently diagnosed with PDD-NOS, and we are looking to put together a team of 2-3 dedicated behaviour interventionists to work in his home-based ABA program. Training in ABA teaching methods and data collection are an asset but not a requirement. It is more important that you are able to provide a caring and consistent teaching environment.

Successful applicants will be working in a newly developed program under the guidance of a trained consultant with Little Mountain ABA. All training will be provided. Session times are flexible and will try to accommodate the successful applicant’s schedule. Sessions are 2-3 hours long and successful candidates will be hired for 2-3 sessions per week plus 1-2 team meetings per month.

    Applicants should be:

Reliable, compassionate, and energetic. The ideal candidate will bring a sense of fun and creativity to their teaching.

Willing to make a minimum 1-year commitment.

Available to start in early October.

Experience with children and children with special needs is an asset but not a requirement.

Post-secondary education in psychology, education, or child development is an asset but is not required.

Salary is negotiable and based on previous experience.

Interested parties please send a resume and cover letter to catherinerailton@shaw.ca.
