We are looking for an outgoing and energetic BI to work with a 10 year old girl who needs to hone her social skills. The child is on the ASD spectrum but is full of fun, friendly and extremely high functioning. This would be a home-based program and it will include academics, and guiding playdates occasionally.
We are looking to run programs 2 days a week with these potential days and times to pick:
Monday, Tuesdays, or Thursday: 3:30-5:30pm or 4-6pm
Saturdays: to be determined.
There is also one monthly mandatory team meeting to discuss our child’s progress, express ideas/concerns and create additional programs with our Consultant and other members of our Intervention Team.
<u>Position requirements:</u>
We would prefer someone with ABA experience but we can provide training.
<u>The following are essential;</u>
– reliable, with a strong work ethic
– A warm, caring, positive and patient personality
– Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
– Initiative and willingness to learn; must be able to take direction
– Strong creativity and great play skills

We are seeking a behaviour interventionist to work with our social, enthusiastic and nonverbal 14-year-old son with a developmental disability secondary to a chromosomal diagnosis.
This position will appeal particularly to people with an interest in special education, speech/language pathology, and related fields, and is an excellent opportunity for those looking for experience in teaching and supporting individuals with special needs. Training will be provided by Justine Banigan BCaBA and Richard Stock BCBA.
Focus will be on 1:1 support in the home and in the community, focusing on functional communication using Touch Chat, as well as developing independence in life skills, academics and social skills.
Sessions run 2h, two times a week after school on weekdays (M-Th). There is also one monthly team meeting. More hours may be available going forward. Minimum 1y commitment required.
